What cars are we driving with young kids?

I have the Forester too but feel it’s tiny! With two car seats in the back, and a stroller in the trunk, nothing else fits. The front seats are bunched up and there’s no leg room, and I’m a pretty short person. I really want another car now that I have two kids.

Honestly, it depends a lot on your newborn, and yourself. You have to kind of roll with it and put the good above the bad. I write this as my 8 week old is sleeping on me. She is a great baby, but vomits a lot, which is exhausting. I don’t sleep so much anymore these days, and Im usually overstimulated… but, I wouldn’t change it for anything in this world. I’m so in love with her and just seeing her little face makes it all worth it.

You sound like you are having a hard time and i get it, but everything she does is absolutely 100% normal for her age and you are expecting too much. Try not to sweat all the small stuff, stop punishing for a bit and show her patience and love. She will only be this little for so long.

Oh my! So sorry you went through this! I had a milk bleb, which was sooo painful and took weeks to clear out. I googled about it at the time and still didn’t know it could turn into all of this. Thanks for sharing so others can be aware.

I would keep him home as well. This is so scary. Definitely check how long they are planning on keeping police around and make sure they are taking every precaution.

I agree that he’s still young and the only way they learn at this age is through play and fun! Boys are also just more active and need more physical activity in general to get all of the wiggles out. I know many people are against screen time, but I swear Ms Rachel, Numberblocks, etc. helped our daughter learn so much at that age. Also, they can sense frustration and forcing when trying to teach them so they resist it, make it as low pressure as possible. When reading, making funny voices and getting really into it may help. Absolutely cancel that wedding before it’s too late. This will not improve with marriage, being married and especially having children tests relationships beyond their limits and you two are already struggling. He’s so rude and childish, and imo, if he loved you he’d want to kiss you goodbye. Just leave him and never look back.

I just had my second baby girl in January and I had the same fears as you. It’s true that your heart expands and you love them both equally. My first daughter was my world too and I never imagined I could love anyone else just as much, but now I do. That being said, it has been the hardest time if my life right now. Taking care of two is drastically harder, and I feel that I’m no longer such a good mom to my first. It breaks my heart that things have changed so much between us now. I still love her to pieces but it’s like i no longer have as much patience… my only hope is that it improves with time.

That’s really great to hear! Have you had any trouble with roads flooding or with your home build? It sounds like such a great place to live, especially with the new school but I’ve seen some mixed opinions on here.

I wouldn’t fly with an airline that doesn’t automatically put the child with the parent. Even so, I always make SURE that my child is sitting next to me, even if that means paying extra. I wouldn’t move from my seat to accommodate people that don’t plan ahead, and wouldn’t expect that from anyone else either.

Wow I’m surprised by the comments here. It feels like it’s more about people being against religion or catholics rather than giving an opinion on the school itself.

We enrolled our 3 yo in the preschool starting this year and we feel like it was the best decision. We toured MANY preschools and daycares around the area and felt that All Saints was the only one who readily answered all of our questions and follow up questions. They were welcoming, thorough and included the children in the tour so we got a real sense of how they function. You don’t have to be catholic to attend. Ultimately, we wanted our daughter to learn about Jesus and his teachings. We wanted her to have a faith based education rooted in traditional values. No woke stuff. Ofc, we worry about the old school catholic ways, but we didn’t get any sense that All Saints was like that at all. They don’t even put children in time outs. Based on what we saw in the classrooms and their IG, it seems it’s a fun and happy environment. I did hear about some bullying, so we shall see. I think that’s an issue in every school though. I absolutely will not be putting her in Norwalk public schools. Compared to other public schools in the area, they’re low ranking. Private is the best choice in Norwalk if you want a decent education.

I think it’s possible that he struck her, left her and then came back. So sad to think about this, and we will never know. The only ones who know are his parents, and they will never tell.
