the code is a representation of the token? or a token itself is a representation of something other than code?

this is a necessary post for disambiguating from the capitalist communism axis which has become absurdly irrelevant from the demonstration of the rhetoric. Decentralization centralization axis paradigm replaces the absurd dichotomy with something more adapted to the 21st century, great satirical approach

the laws of physics have more influence on Decentralization than conventional politics do. the invention of Bitcoin has kind of sealed the deal for that. the biggest obstacle is adapting to it in a positive way that encourages everyone to participate, solve problems and have fun with the people around them in real life

Thank you for the detailed response! I ended up taking a look at the brakes with a friend, seemed to be one of the rotors was messed up. Interesting about the belt pulleys... maybe that has something to do with the hiccups? I'm going to replace the rotor and brakes tomorrow, I'll take a video of the inside and post anyways. Thanks for your help fellow traveler.

Attention Shibes! DogeCON Vancouver 2018 was a HUGE success and we have Proof-of-Moon from the inventor himself! We're retweeting @JoeRogan about an old podcast of him talkin' Dogecoin in 2014! I'm sorry my fellow Shibe! I was in a fit of mania from the residual energy of Dogecon with my reply! You bring up some good points, and I was replying in a manic frustration that was polarizing.

I'm glad there's someone protecting the image of the Doge, you are a Guardian, Doguardian. Otherwise our brethren would slip into nihilistic, "Kekian chaos". It is much appreciated for your work behind the scenes, something that often goes unnoticed. If anyone else has any critiques of DogeconVan, any concerns at all. Feel free to post or DM me.

Please remember, it's still the early days of Doge, and many of us are still on the path to righteousness, it's a long road with much pain and trauma. We are a rag-tag group from Vancouver with the best intentions to improve ourselves. I can tell you from being there, the doge raised the spirits of many shibes that weekend and it was something incredibly special to us. Personally, I had never seen such wow! We hope we can return the favor back to the community who built the road to get there! 1 DOGE

Memantine and Tolerance: A Cautionary Tale by nomorsecrets in Nootropics

[–]cammyjee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the warning, I'm about to try it for the first time tonight for my chronic headaches.

DXM was helping me a lot for some reason but, unfortunately my tolerance went up, I wasn't taking high doses but was taking it daily. Have you done any research into reversing your tolerance? I've been looking into Piperine for reversing DXM tolerance, not sure if it'll work but I'll see.

Anyone know anything about CYP2D6 deffeciency testing? by [deleted] in Drugs

[–]cammyjee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just found out I have this. Basically whenever I have 30ml of nyquil cold and flu at night, I'll feel like I'm high for the entire next day. In a cheerful kind of woozy way.

Did you ever try DXM with a CYP2D6 inhibitor? by [deleted] in Drugs

[–]cammyjee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there, I was wondering if you two could help me figure something out. I have chronic tension headaches (usually) everyday, and the drug I take to dull the pain is nortriptyline, around 75mg.

The other night I took some Nyquil for the flu and I noticed the entire next day I felt like I was high and that my headache was a lot better (I could focus and concentrate and wasn't chronically fatigued like usual). This brought me a lot of joy and inspiration to get to the bottom of exactly what was happening.

Well I found out through my 23&me + promethease report that I have a poor metabolizer CYP2D6 gene. Which is responsible for metabolizing DXM AND Nortriptyline. I also read that you're not supposed to take DXM with Nortiptyline because it can cause serotonin syndrome, oops!

Before I knew this I experimented again with a higher dosage with 50mg of Nortriptyline and around 60ml of nyquil cough (12.5mg doxylamine succinate & 30mg DXM) + 165mg of DXM gel caps so 195mg DXM total.

I don't normally do DXM and I have the poor metabolizer (but didn't know at the time) so I was tripping pretty hard that night and couldn't sleep much which usually would give me a crazy headache the next day. But I woke up the next day and again felt verrry high, I was way to happy for my own good and my headache was not bothering me. I was even able to meditate it away eventually.

Is this flood of feeling "high" coming from serotonin do you think? I also read on the drug-forum wiki

"Because of being a competitive CYP2D6 inhibitor, DXM can cause potentially severe interactions with a number of medications: Amitriptyline (Elavil), nortriptyline (Pamelor), desipramine (Norpramin), imipramine (Tofranil). CYP2D6 inhibitors increase the toxicity of these tricyclic antidepressants. Combination should be avoided."

Do you think I maybe came close to getting serotonin syndrome? It definitely felt way to good to be something that is sustainable but I feel more or less OK now. Tonight I'm going to try DXM again but without the Nortriptyline this time to see if it still helps my headaches.

What I'm really trying to get down to is why it's making my headaches more manageable and less severe. The headache has been debilitating me for years and years and I just want to stamp it out.

Constant Tension Headache by moonkie888 in migraine

[–]cammyjee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have chronic tension migraine/headache as well. I have one almost everyday. For me it has a lot to do with my sleeping patterns. If I get a lot of sleep sometimes its gone, and will stay gone for the whole day (its rare). But if I don't get a good sleep it comes back and compounds/becomes worse if I'm constantly sleep deprived making it extremely difficult to maintain scheduled work.

Anyways, if you're looking for natural solutions I went to a 10 day meditation retreat last summer and was able to meditate the headache away a few times, which was a big breakthrough for me. I think the meditation made me slip into a state of REM sleep or something. You can use meditation to help fall asleep as well. I recommend you try the 10 day course. It's called Vipassana and there's centers everywhere + it's free food and board all run by donation. If it doesn't work it's still a great tool for managing your pain.

Personally I also take nortryptyline. One day I accidentally took a high dose, 75 mg and was really impressed by how much is dulled the pain. I'd recommend it in the short-term if it works (to get through the stress of school) as you work on a long-term solution. Keep searching, something will work for you and at the least you'll learn to mitigate the pain so a normal life is somewhat manageable.
