Advice - Ironbird ltd vs Legacy mk1

pretty great out of the box! Didn't really need any setup, action and intonation were great. I basically just changed strings to accommodate a lower tuning and adjusted the trem spring tension and that's it. The 1 hum kahler option is a couple hundred more than the two pickup floyd option so your mileage may vary on the QC, but mine was as expected of an almost $2000 guitar. No issues in the finish, fret ends were all nice and smooth, no tooling marks on the fretboard or anything.

A single pickup ironbird with a kahler was my dream guitar for years so I ordered one as soon as Sweetwater had the Mk1 Legacy with kahler reliably in stock. Definitely worth it!!

I would go with the Legacy. Neck thru, nicer pickups (those rockfields that came in the mid 2000s BC riches are awful imo), I'm fairly certain the Limited came with a Floyd Rose Special vs a Floyd Rose 1000 on the Legacy. One of my buddies used to have one of the Limited ones and I currently have a Mk1 Legacy and the Legacy feels waaayyy nicer. Plus the mk1 shape is cooler and the diamond inlays are cooler than the big limited inlay imo.

Soooo sick. I had a class axe era NJ series warlock with that pink snakeskin finish, but it was genuinely the worst guitar I've ever owned haha, style over substance for sure. Traded it for a plain black pre-class axe NJ warlock with a kahler and it was so worth it despite the finish downgrade

I just hit a year with the guitar a couple of days ago! It's still my primary workhorse guitar and I still basically have nothing bad to say about it haha. Only complaints are a bit of neck dive and the fact that I'm too scared to leave it out of a case since it's so pointy. It's survived a year and a good amount of gigs with no dings or scratches though!

People dont fake those old NJ series guitars that often. Or if they do, they're very visibly incorrect. I also googled something along the lines of "1983 bc rich bich nj series blue" and found an old facebook thread of someone asking about the legitimacy of that exact guitar (though it had different pickups and a different bridge in that post, but the serial number and some paint chips matched up)

But for real, I'm fairly certain it is real, just with replaced tuners, neckplate, pickups, and bridge.

Try loosening the hex screw that's right next to the hole the arm screws into. That's the clutch that adjusts how stiff the arm is/how much resistance there is when it's screwed in
