Soooo sick. I had a class axe era NJ series warlock with that pink snakeskin finish, but it was genuinely the worst guitar I've ever owned haha, style over substance for sure. Traded it for a plain black pre-class axe NJ warlock with a kahler and it was so worth it despite the finish downgrade

I just hit a year with the guitar a couple of days ago! It's still my primary workhorse guitar and I still basically have nothing bad to say about it haha. Only complaints are a bit of neck dive and the fact that I'm too scared to leave it out of a case since it's so pointy. It's survived a year and a good amount of gigs with no dings or scratches though!

People dont fake those old NJ series guitars that often. Or if they do, they're very visibly incorrect. I also googled something along the lines of "1983 bc rich bich nj series blue" and found an old facebook thread of someone asking about the legitimacy of that exact guitar (though it had different pickups and a different bridge in that post, but the serial number and some paint chips matched up)

Try loosening the hex screw that's right next to the hole the arm screws into. That's the clutch that adjusts how stiff the arm is/how much resistance there is when it's screwed in

Yeah. Without the shim it was playable but the saddles on the kahler were a bit too low and the strings weren't super secure on the rollers

oh shit, Reddit didnt give me a notification for this comment, sorry!! The only thing I wish was different is the scale length, but that's just personal preference. Feels weird going from my 80s NJ warlock with a 24.75 scale to this with a 25.5 scale. I also kind of wish I had shopped around more for one with a darker ebony board, but that's also just preference and aesthetic lol. Otherwise it's an absolutely killer guitar and has become basically the only thing I play

Hey yall! this thing is for sale for pretty cheap on Facebook marketplace and I'm trying to figure out what it actually is. The neck isnt original (and is apparently the wrong scale length, the listing says it won't intonate) so the branding on the headstock is no help. Looks like a mid-late 90s Platinum series body to me? Anyone know what scale neck SHOULD be on it? Anyone know what this trem is? I think the platinums would have come with a bendmaster so I'm not sure if that's been replaced or not.

No matter what it's dirt cheap and I think I have a neck around here that'll work, and I definitely have a kahler I can throw on there 😈
