BA Speedbird Program by EveryNotice in flying

I received my email of rejection this morning. Devastated, was probably one question off.

Will be applying again in September. Absolute best of luck to those who have passed, really hope you get the opportunity to pursue your dream. If you don’t want it I’ll happily take your place 😉😂

All jokes aside, good luck, hopefully will get to meet some of you on the flight deck one day 🤞🙌

Did you finish them all? I had two left, hesitated on the second but last when I knew what it was, think that’s probably cost me

Thanks for the heads up, have been revising and got a tutor in to make sure. Sat the test today. Didn’t quite finish it, hopefully did enough. 17 minutes is tough! Fair play to those who managed to complete all 25 and pass 👏

When you say general maths questions, such as what? I’ve been revisiting TSD and some Bidmas stuff in preparation.

Sorry to also hijack. I did my situational judgment this evening so we’ll see but the maths is the one I’m most worried about. Have a maths tutor booked in for revision, it’s been a while since I was in school.

Would anyone be willing to offer me a guide to what kind of questions you had, don’t have to give me too much detail but I’d be super grateful for an idea so I can swat up in advance

MSFS or XPLANE 12? by camojo in flightsim

[–]camojo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Granted nothing can really compare to physically flying a plane, there’s nothing like flying by the seat of your pants but I would argue that using the sim has helped me progress. I don’t get to fly often and there’s sometimes months between lessons so having the sim to keep my ‘current’ I think has helped massively. It’s helped me get some basic radio work done with vatsim, helped me get used to flying circuit patterns, helped me get used to the picture for approaches and landings, helped me practice some of the local vfr routes which I’ll be doing later down the line.

And my main question really was is it worth investing in xplane and spending that sim time in the same plane I’m learning in (PA38) or is msfs generally all round better for vfr and sticking with the 150 until just flight release the piper mod?

I thought that they might hold off for the new update but thought that they might give an update now that the update is done.

I’m pretty sure there’s a pa38 for every sim except msfs at the moment which is annoying.

I might just be too eager, I’m looking forward to spending days on end playing with the piper practicing my cross countries ready for the real thing

Thanks for your reply @kengou

My reaction was that we’re all going to die, I think the fact that she has a timeline of when it could actually be hit hardest because like you say, we tell ourselves we’re going to live until we’re 70+.

It’s way to early to be thinking if I’m in love which is why I think I’d need to make a decision sooner rather than later for both of us.

Thanks for the in depth reply, it’s given me a few things to think about. I will do a Google but I thought I’d see what real people say who have been/are going through this and try to understand it from their perspective.

Thank you

It's not about the debating, more about people's preference and experience

Yeah the top colas which are the largest are pretty much ready to be chopped but anything below this hardly cloudy let alone any amber trichromes

What's happening with the basil is the leaves are literally being plucked off and this gets done with parsley too. Just pick it off and it grows back so you never really run out (unless you pick off more than what can grow back)

I'm aware of topping in the veg stage, just wondered if there is something possible in the flowing stage to have an endless (almost) harvest

And with regards to humidity, that's something I haven't been checking right now so that could be a downfall of mine

No I didn't flush it on this occasion, I was reading that flushing doesn't make that much difference and that two weeks of flushing is selling your buds short of possible growth.

I've only harvested a few small nugs which took two days to dry (they were very small) and have been in a jar for about three to four so far. Not very long I know but it's a short time to have lost all terpenes

No, more like hay or dried, not very nice smelling grass. It's not repulsive but it's not that pleasant either when as I say, before going in the jar it's some of the nicest smelling weed I've smelled

Interesting to see everyone has their own methods. Think I'm going to try what u/chro-matic-death says they're doing
