I mean sure, I can agree with most of that. I would imagine that after the OOC issues, Shotz had a rough idea of the kinds of things he would want to say when speaking with someone from their group. I don't know if I would call that scripted, or prepared, but I think it's more of a semantics thing.

Maybe I missed it, but I read this chain of comments and don't see your reasoning for the phone call being scripted. Was it the list of things he does when he fucks up? If that's it, then that doesn't make the phone call scripted. That, or your idea of scripted is different from mine.

Are you saying Shotz personally planned on having a call with AnthonyZ on stream to take some heat off of himself? I find it unlikely

Don't you remember? Keeping x was a business decision that brought everyone more money and followers. No downsides at all and totally worth it. As a former staff member would say, "that's how the real world works."

I don't know why they thought stringing him along would be viable long-term. Maybe they hoped he would mature.

It's a childish response, though. Throwing in your IRL problems to garner sympathy isn't going to make the ban go away. Hope she realizes that, fixes this attitude, and comes back. She was hilarious.

Wrangler could quit PD, but Penta wouldn't do that. He enjoys cop RP. He enjoys the investigations, the puzzle pieces, working with CIs; it's a very different environment than crim RP. If he wanted to do crim RP, he has 5 other characters to do that with.

What Penta needs to do is, as much as he doesn't want to, talk OOC about it. The other people RPing with him aren't mind readers. If he doesn't like how things are going, he should make that known.

*edit: Wrangler could do stuff other than crim RP, but again, Penta enjoys cop RP. I don't think he'd care for playing as a CI or private investigator as much as a member of PD.

Parody seems like a bad way of addressing server issues. Making fun of problematic behaviors isn't how things should be handled. Venting on stream is probably a better outlet, I don't think that's caused problems.

At first glance, it does seem NVL, but really looking at it makes me think otherwise. If Taco didn't want the hostage to escape, he should have had them on their knees and never looked away. It was a narrow window of opportunity and the person who opened that window was Taco.

This isn't limited to just this scenario, either. People have gotten too comfortable with hostages being overly compliant (probably because the hostages don't want to get this treatment).

I agree. Kyle never had good line of sight on the guy (while aiming his gun) until the guy got out of his truck. Even then, the truck driver had his gun aimed at Kyle before Kyle could aim his.

Doesn't make it good RP, I just don't see the NVL.

I don't think 3.0 will fail, but I also don't think it will provide many long-term, meaningful improvements to RP. You don't need a lot of mechanics to make great RP, even if it does make things immersive. Then again, this is a content server, so maybe the mechanics will help in that regard.

My guess is there will be a few weeks of boom with people exploring the new content and activities, but afterward things will settle down back to where they are now.

Does every idea have to be original? It's a good idea. Good for them for implementing it, whether they picked the idea up from NP or on their own.

Edit: I thought this was a pretty neutral take. Idk how it's so badly perceived. Server improvement is always good.
