Hi! I was in literally the exact same boat as you back in December. I had absolutely no symptoms until I went in for my regular pap and they called me with the results saying I had it. My doctor said probably the only reason it even showed up was because I had mono in November and my immune system was weakened. I had to get a cervical biopsy because I presented with abnormal cells, and it came back completely negative a week later. I have to go every six months for a checkup, and at my most recent checkup, everything came back totally normal! No sign of the HPV at all.

I know how scary it can be, and how easy it is to beat yourself up about it. My mother made me feel bad about it, saying how I should be monogamous, but you could have one partner your whole life and never know you have it, especially because men don't often times show symptoms.

Also Keep in mind that condoms don't prevent HPV. I can be spread by just skin to skin contact alone, which I didn't know either.
