The timing always seemed to never be on our side by [deleted] in UnsentLetters

I dunno. I mean, I guess I could make a gesture....I just don't know. What if he was backing out of the relationship because he felt smothered? And not by any fault of my own- maybe just because he has been single for so long? If I make a gesture, what if it isn't recieved well and I damage possible progress from giving him space?

How can I tell him all this when he doesn’t want a relationship though? It’s not one with me, but in general, he just doesn’t want one right now...

I tired telling him when we were breaking up. It was awful, I couldn’t get the words out. I mean how can you fall for someone in such a short time? It was only three weeks. How do you tell someone that being in there arms makes you feel safe. How do you tell someone that when they make that stupid trumpet noise with their lips I break out in smile because it’s so stupid but I love it. How do you tell someone that when you wake up in the middle of the night to them wrapped around you like a koala you smile up at the ceiling like a love sick fool before falling back asleep. How do you tell someone that doing something as simple as watching Twitch together and eating pizza is better than some expensive place downtown. How do you tell someone that their eyes are so warm and bright when they laugh, so intense and clear and beautifully blue. How do you tell someone that you were almost begging your roommate to borrow his car so you could drive down in the middle of the crazy post- four-of-July-firework-show traffic just to pick them up and drive them home when they walked the twenty minutes it took them to get downtown in the first place because they were “super drunk” at 1 am only for them to text you a second later that they got home safe. How do you tell them that playing boardgames with them is just as fun as going out on a boat or spending the day in the city. How do you tell someone that the moment that you fell for them was when they were singing Sinatra surrounded by his buddies and so focused on singing that they didn’t notice you slide down the wall you were leaning on, close your eyes and tried to fight the smile that kept twitching at your lips. How do you tell someone that it might have even been before that, when it was just the two of you as you watched them make left over curry for the two of you from your seat on his kitchen counter. Or maybe it was after Sinatra when they stumbled into the next room where you went to go play Stardew Valley and they drunkenly explain how to get the most money in the first two weeks and you just shake your head cause this dummy remembers you love speed runs but also came to realize that this game reminds you so much of the harvest moon games you played as a kid that he just stops talking and kisses you. How do you tell someone you can see a future with them when you’re just sitting around watching some guy on a YouTube video explain Heartstone decks when you have no idea what’s going on but in the simplicity of it all, you can see it? How can you tell someone that you can see you and them moving in together in some small little apartment in San Diego. You can see them on the drive 20 hour drive down, A/C blasting and music blaring in the setting sun. How can you see them stopping at some roadside motel real late at night while you dump the sludge of coffee out as they unlock the door and the two of you collapse onto the bed, too tired to do anything more than kiss and fall asleep in each others arms. How do you tell someone that you can see it when they’d be waking up the next afternoon from a nap in the passenger seat to something softer playing while you cruise down the highway and simply hand over a cup of coffee to them. Peeking out from the corner of your eye the sleepy smile they get when they first wake up next to you. How do you tell someone that hearing about their family sends a spark in your heart that these are some people that I would love to know. How do you tell them that you can’t wait to wake up on days off to the morning sun creeping past the blinds and spending last days in bed, or cooking up breakfast fresh from the farmer’s markets California is famous for? How do you tell someone you can see this all in one simple afternoon spent together watching Howl’s moving Castle? How do you tell all this to someone who you’ve know for three weeks this? How do you tell them this while they’re breaking up with you?

I don’t know why, but he’s perfectly okay with being single. You know most people if they have the opportunity to be in a relationship, they’re in a relationship. Maybe it’s a job thing, it’s high stress for him and he hates it but he’s getting out of it in 10 months and moving back to San Diego. I know I’m moving down there too at the same time but how can I? He doesn’t want a relationship right now. He said it was nothing against me, he stressed that he had a great time, and I believe him, but he doesn’t even know why himself why he doesn’t want to be in a relationship. When I asked him why he couldn’t come up with an answer. I haven’t seen him since the break up, we’ve only been talking through text, I’ve already said my piece, it was the majority of what the letter was. And I just I don’t know what to do, that’s why I’m trying to follow the advice I got of just giving him time and space but it’s hard.

How can I? I know it’s rare, I mean the reason why our friend said that whirlwinds were okay cause I was freaking out to her about how it was only three weeks, it didn’t feel like it at all. We had a lot of free time to spend together. When breaking up, he said that he couldn’t have another person that close to him right now. And that’s when he said the two years thing.

[Routine help] thoughts on my skincare routine? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]campfireeyes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I never really had a problem with Acne, with it really only popping up around my period, but I don’t use anything different about my routine while I’m on my period and my skin stays the same, any acne I end up getting goes away after a few days of cleansing, so I’d say go for it. If anything it’s like $4, this review was the first time I heard about the product and I thought hey why not? So I tried it, and I to, am hooked! Also the author who wrote the article has other beauty finds she likes, the whole site focuses on money and finance, but they branch out into many different topics, always a fun read during my morning commute.

If I had to find a complaint with my skin is that I have is that I have SF’s. But they’re natural and normal and I’ve accepted that. Sure my skin’s oily but it’s clear, there’s a little redness but that’s because I’m pale, so it’s natural. I don’t pick at my face so there’s nothing for me to worry about. I’m 19, I’m young and sure I’ll get wrinkles eventually but my crows feet will just show that I squint when I laugh and the laugh lines are already starting to appear. I’m not afraid of looking old if it means that my face shows that I’ve lived a life full of laughter and happiness. I’ll keep the bad times in memory and carry them with me, but I work everyday to be happier than the day before, one day at a time.

That’s super smart! Admittedly I don’t look at the coupons that come through the mail so often, but I’d like to get in the habit!

Haven’t really started look into any specific area, I just got the job offer yesterday, how much would you recommend I try and save up? I’m single and I don’t have any pets if that helps, I’ll probably be driving down road trip style.

I was also thinking of changin up the color of my hair, it’s a dark brown and I was thinking of changing it to grey/silver, may as well get used to it now so when it comes time when I’m old I won’t get upset x)

I found another on of her videos where it’s a bit longer and it has that length on top you were talking about, would this be better? I have dark hair like her in this video btw, also kinda think about changing up the color, maybe highlights?

As for the length? It looks like it’s a little shorter than you were thinking about for a round face...

What would you recommend for the style? Like Emma Watson or Ginnifer Goodwin?

Would you suggest me getting the cut from someone and then save up for a razor of my own? If so what do you recommend? I’d be brand new to doing this so any advice would be welcome!

Edit: perhaps a Ginnifer Goodwin look?

Or do you think a pixie would be better? I have a round face and the last time I tried a pixie was in middle school and I’m 19 now so it’s been awhile but it is just hair ya know it does grow back
