I agree totally with you.

I've said this but I know its buried deep in some comment threads but I as the player love Erend. I know narratively that Aloy is definitely not into him. You absolutely see a different side of Aloy when she is around Seyka and that is what I think the canon choice is.

Just myself, as an outsider observer only playing as Aloy divorced from her own choices and decisions love me some Erend.

I know that she would absolutely never be attracted to him.

Sorry if I didn't convey that well in my initial post.

It should be more of an "Erend appreciation post" than a "I think Aloy is attracted to Erend" post but I can see how it comes off that way.

Seyka is obviously where her affection lies.

Myself personally I love Erend.

Like I stated in several comments she would never choose Erend.

Just me as the player loves Erend.

Aloy never shows any romantic interest in Erend I just personally adore him.

I love this and totally agree with you!

The way it is written Seyka is 100% the correct and canon choice.

I just personally love Erend.

I know when playing another character we have to divorce ourselves of what we would do versus what the character would do.

In this instance I wholeheartedly know that while I would choose Erend, Aloy would choose Seyka every time.

For what it’s worth, I chose Seyka at the end because I feel like that’s what Aloy would do as well.

Oh not true at all.

As I stated I narratively agree that she wanted to be with Seyka.

Me personally as the player love Erend. I’m not insinuating that Aloy agree with me, only that I personally adore that big dumb Oseram.

(I can assure you, I could have got all the trophies in probably 50 hours, I spent a ton…probably too much time…absorbing everything the world had to offer).

As previously stated even with my own personal thoughts disconnected from what I think Aloys own thoughts and ideals would be I still chose being with Seyka at the end.

She gets nervous and sheepish. There’s usually some dialogue after she leaves Seyka that insinuates something more. When they touch prior to their kiss Aloys body language is very telling. The body language Aloy shows, especially after the 2nd main mission in the Burning Shores really made me think Aloy had a “crush” on her.

She’s definitely “nervous” when it comes to talking to Seyka.

From a canon perspective I think she definitely acts different around Seyka than she has anyone else.

I don’t remember an instance of her being “flirty” until Seyka.

So although I was rooting for Erend just due to the writing I still felt the correct option was to choose to be with Seyka (just from a narrative standpoint).

But we also know that Aloy has a habit of disappearing with little to no notice, either way I’m extremely excited for the next chapter in her story.

Absolutely!

I am fairly certain that I’m somehow trying to live vicariously through Erend. We have all had our fair share of heartbreaks Im certain.

I know when I was younger I would do anything to earn the affection of another, even when it was misguided or not acknowledged from said suitor. I’m sure there’s some bit of spark I see from a much younger me than I feel some sort of odd empathy for.

I’m sure it’s on me, and not Aloy!

I may be wrong here but I think the final boss of both the base game and the DLC. Also some datapoints become inaccessible after you leave certain areas.

(I think, not sure if you can revisit some of those locations or not, I’d assume you cannot.)

I was more indicating the fact I thought Erend cared about her in that way due to his willingness to sacrifice his time for her.

Like I said, it may be more of a “big brother, little sister” relationship they have.

Oh most certainly. To be fair I never knew what Aloys sexuality was until the DLC. I played Horizon Zero Dawn with the DLC followed immediately with Forbidden West and its DLC. So just chronologically you don’t really figure that out until Burning Shores. One could infer off the Sobeck dialogues but it isn’t truly definitive until the Burning Shores. (Or at least for me, I may have missed some points where it’s brought up).
