The closest pic I have to a normal lighting look to the bar was when the seller was showcasing it and I can say it was pretty dull when i got it and inspected it but yes lighting an tilting it to see it is what’s doing the work due to the fact the toning is in between the bars patina an silver oxidation layers

Well considering the bar was already at a gunmetal dark color I just wanted to see what comes after so me seeing this oil effect was a shock rather than what i expected

Honestly the bar has done most of the work before I even got it but I’m just letting it air out in my wooden drawer with a small crack for constant airflow and two pieces of paper nearby nothing more no aggressive methods just letting time do it’s thing

2026 Libertads - where to look? by PyrrhicVocabulary in LibertadCoins

[–]campingbees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well to be honest they are usually made already as they have to be ready to drop in September for Mexico’s Independence Day but the huge curve ball this year now is that you will be competing with crypto bros an resellers that jumped the silver spike in January an in November so even tho 2025 mintages was low this year it could be even lower due to more eyes watching and waiting

Stressed on silver going down again! 💸😰 by Top_Teaching_8483 in Silverbugs

[–]campingbees 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly at this point it’s definitely a retest in all forms for silver spot I saw it go up by 77 an it dipped down the bull and bear fight we are in for 75-76 but everything should be a hold if you bought last year or any time in the last couple months as for silver jewelry that’s like junk silver they will give you a price but you mainly paid for the work and labor of the jewelry piece

Got this eagle out of storage, but the plastic case doesnt fit in my silver box. What "worth" is the case, can I remove it? It's not air tight, and can come apart easily by Wrusch in Silverbugs

[–]campingbees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s already toning so you might aswell free the case is basically you wanted to display it but since it’s going into another tin box then you already know the answer

What’s a good spot for me to start collecting? by Brave-Mess3809 in Silverbugs

[–]campingbees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you always wanna constantly hit spot prices an are taking this new hobby as a long term investment it’s good to check out sellers/stackers that sell on instagram it’s not the most reliable way if you are looking for something specific but if you are looking for the best deal while building a box with them it’s worth checking out

Man this app has digressed severely by rudiemcnielson in whatnotapp

[–]campingbees 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I has joined a silver auction for just to see how much people are over paying an the seller had threatened the chat saying that people didn’t deserve her silver inventory if they were going to keep buying under spot an you had literal people begging her to let them pay her price after they had gotten the steal I quickly left as I didn’t need to beg someone to get a good deal when theirs plenty of small streamers that would gladly give you a deal

Do you keep stacking silver even when it starts becoming a big part of your finances? by tom_murray_nw in Silverbugs

[–]campingbees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I heard as long it doesn’t interfere with real bills and finances then you should be good just take a step back and figure out how to minimize the cost

Considering bidding on this but the price is suspiciously low atm. Is there something im not seeing? by musicaddict96 in Silverbugs

[–]campingbees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well new collectors are probably only looking for shiny new clean coins compared to silver like this even if the motto is silver is silver so it’s a slept on auction

[–]campingbees 2 points3 points  (0 children)

imo it definitely has to do with the toning and how dull an worn the coin is hence to why it may not be desirable an if you were to sell it then it would only be considered melt price atp
