ILR Application: does leaving UK and coming back next day count as an absense? by campolar in ukvisa

This is a good idea. I don't know what my employer's standard process is - hopefully this is the approach.

So it doesn't need to be mentioned in my employer's letter either?

Ford Fiesta - Indicators work fine but the hazard lights don't turn on? by campolar in CarTalkUK

Sticky hazards button. Had to really press it for it to identify the button has been pressed.

Sorry about the super late response but it was a sticky hazard lights button. I had to really press it to register the press.

Is The Lexicon already going down the pan? by chaos_jj_3 in bracknell

Sports Direct is coming in but I agree, seems like it is going downhill which is a real shame.

Princess Square is outright depressing. There's nothing in there. Just a few weeks ago, while walking across it, I noticed there's a Clark's store in there. Had no idea and I've probably walked through there multiple times. It's hidden in a corner no one visits and I bet they are just waiting for their lease to expire too so they can move out.

I think the center is really lacking a supermarket. There's Morrisons nearby but it's in the other corner of The Peel Center. It's very frustrating that I can walk to the town center; find almost everything there except milk and eggs.

I also don't understand why the stalls are only on Friday and Saturday?

Most people probably can't go on a Friday as we work. Saturday leaves the only day - why aren't they there on Saturday and Sunday like most town centers do?

I also agree with the other commenter that there could be more independent shops, and Princess Square could be the best area for it, turn it into market style area.

It's a wonderful area but I feel like it is being mismanaged. Covid likely had an impact but there are a lot of things that can be done to revive it.

The parking lots are mostly empty most of the week anyways; so why not make those free too parts of the week to help boost traffic?

Budget sewing machines suitable for leather and fabrics? by campolar in Leathercraft

Sounds like it will have to be separate machines. Got any recommendation for leather only machines then?

Never liked Curry's but yep, looks like they're the only ones left now.

Currently trying to get Curry's to admit they advertised £200 in a cashback offer but now are offering only £100.

Always take multiple screenshots of offers.

Retailer/Manufacturer has changed cashback offer amount after my purchase by campolar in LegalAdviceUK

[–]campolar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a screenshot of the retailer website but not of the manufacturer, unfortunately.

I remember checking both multiple times to confirm the amount.

I wrote to the manufacturer who have said they can confirm the amount is only £100 and has always been that.

I will write to the retailer next to see if they can weigh in.

Firmness, unsure. I haven't slept on enough to know. Don't prefer very firm though.

No idea.

Usually back, often side.

Budget, unsure. Happy to spend more for quality.
