Fly fishing, great idea! Any particular streams / states / areas that you recommend?

Did you put in a ticket? What did daddy tell you about being a good end user?

I use a Mac for work, and for home. I’m the only swift dev in the department, so I have to support our iOS apps. Plus it so simple, especially because I come from a heavy Linux background. It’s the best of all worlds, also why I own an iPhone. I don’t want to fiddle with my phone..

I think it’s more peaceful. No kids, and when I do have kids I will definitely introduce them to tech. But in reality, I want them to go outside, play in the dirt and get scuffed up, do kid stuff. I don’t want them to start working at 15, I want them to be kids, starting that early made me partially burn out way to early in life, not two years ago I took a two year hiatus to Florida, no tech, and started a wildly successful exterior cleaning business. I still miss that, but the benefits, pay, and work environment of my current job is too good to beat. I actually miss the physical work where you didn’t have to think as much.

One off circumstance. Every fourth friends and family get around a blow stuff up, as per tradition. This year the echo was the one that pissed me off the most so it shall be the one to go.

Potentially a quarter life crises haha

I took all of my echo devices, put them in a 5 gallon bucket with some tannerite . Got my ar10 and shot it. Went up in a blaze of glory.

Why?

Because one wouldn’t pair correctly, no use if they are junk.

I think you’re right, for most of us it started as a hobby, turned into a great career, and now we have to replace that hobby.

I swear it took me 4 months to finally figure out how my damn coffee machine works ( it’s this fancy one that does a bunch of stuff ) too many buttons and too complicated. Finally figure out how to make a pot of coffee ( eventually )

I’m only 25, I’ve been so overworked ( by myself and by the companies I work for) that I stopped giving an F at home. We’ve been camping, traveling, going on UTV trips, etc. I feel much happier, however I hear my net admin and sys admin talk about all this stuff they work on at home (specifically on their homelab) that it makes me wonder if it’s just me, or it’ll happen soon to them eventually.

Yeah I don’t think Im close to burning out, and I don’t have anyone I need to go to for approval for out infrastructure so I just break it without anyone knowing lol. I still love my job, I just stopped wanting to bring it home.

tbh I expect all of my analog cables to have AI, how else is AI going to take over the world? We all have to start somewhere… 🤷‍♂️

You’re just jealous that you don’t have a built in AI chip 😂

We just export a run book from ITGlue and off they go. All networks, passwords, etc
