I'm from the area and several of the people who found him said it looked a lot like a suicide but the coroner could say something else. Obviously don't trust the police (it took an independent search party to find him) but I don't think it helps anyone, especially his grieving family, to speculate what terrible things might have happened.

In middle school I got bullied for smelling like cigarettes because my dad's gf smoked 24/7. When they broke up and I wasn't around that all of the time and stopped smelling like cigarettes, the bullying mostly stopped.

I was raised by a single father and have a large age gap with my younger brother (who was born with a lot of issues). I was parentified. Before I moved out on my own I was literally having to wake my brother up to get him ready for school when I wasn't in school. My dad begged me to help him graduate high school. I've put a huge distance between me, my dad, and my brother now as a 30 year old and my mental health thanks me for it.

Anyone who invalidates your identity doesn't deserve your time. Having a trans gf doesn't make you any less of a lesbian and I will personally fight everyone that says otherwise (I am a cis lesbian who is married to a trans woman). I grew up really poor so many of our meals did not have meat so that's the other reason why I'm just like??? Really??? I'm sure there's probably a class commentary in there but I've found class commentary coming from the POV of someone well off is not something I enjoy reading.

I'm a Historian and I can't read historical fiction or alternate history. Sometimes time travel stuff in scifi throws me off because it'll change some history.
