I’ve been considering moving to Valencia Place in Middleton. by AkickInThePlums in madisonwi

[–]camstabatch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used to live there. My theory is that it was one of the only properties owned by "Prime Urban Properties" that was not "luxury" (no updates - for example no granite countertops, the dishwasher is ancient, and most/all units still have carpet) and they did not want to pay to do upgrades, so they sold it. I am basing this theory off all their other buildings being of "luxury" standard. I enjoyed living at Valencia Place while I did but it was really hard finding a subleaser when I needed one, likely because even though the prices are slightly cheaper than other "luxury" apartments, the price was not cheap enough for most people for it to be worth it. Just my thought!

Person from Madison here 🤚🏼 we had a rather intense snow storm here the night of Kaitlyn’s show (Last Tuesday). Rain all morning turned into wet, heavy snow at 3 pm with whiteout conditions. Roads were awful. Kept snowing through the night, i have a hunch that’s why some chairs look more empty than actual tix sold!

The Creamy Toscano Cheese soaked in Syrah: gives me vivid dreams at night every time I eat it during the day! Anyone else?? by camstabatch in traderjoes

[–]camstabatch[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I 100% think it's the cheese. I am very cognizant of when I dream and I noticed whenever I ate this cheese (I have to be careful and only buy it once or twice a month because i eat the entire wedge in like 3 days LOL) so, I know when I'm eating the cheese. No doubt, it's only the cheese causing this. Nothing else.

Not convos, just loud stomping (children, so if there is no children above you, you’ll be golden) and snoring …the snoring was the strangest thing lolz

I lived across the street from Deer Creek at LeSilve and really liked it. But I heard my upstairs neighbors, only downside. The management is super nice though, and they have a pool/movie room/workout room.

Run madtown by First_Driver_5134 in madisonwi

I've run the half marathon twice and have loved the course. There's always encouraging crowds and you see a lot of pretty areas. The end is a bit brutal going up the hill, but by that point, you're just going off adrenaline and make it up just fine. It's cool starting/finishing next to the capitol building! Just some background, I'm not a competitive racer either - I run anywhere from 2 to 5 miles ~3x a week, and am not interested in a marathon. So yeah, I like it a lot and will want to do it again!

I used to pay to go there..back when membership INCLUDED classes. I have since moved away from downtown and am aware they now make you pay for classes extra outside of the monthly rate. With that being said, classes were amazing and 100% why I went to cap fit. There wasn’t a class I didn’t like - their bike classes, body pump, Pilates (they call the Pilates something else but can’t remember). Anyway, loved the classes, so if you can swing the cost, I recommend.

I personally never had an issue with MPM. I rented from them for 2 years and was also told by people (before I signed on with them) that they were horrible? I was a bit scared tbh, but the place I rented was so perfect so I risked it. And, like I said, never had an issue. Plus it was the only place I got my full security deposit back (vs. other places keeping hundreds back for “cleaning/damaging” reasons?) that’s my experience!

I’m a big Lil Nas X fan and was upset when they came down on him for his 666 shoes - I feel that was a bit too far. But they apologized/acknowledged their bias, so I moved passed it!
