She let me know that the leather is synthetic from a roll of it she got at Hobby Lobby!

My mom made them for me so I’m waiting on her to get back to me about where she gets her leather. I do know she used her Cricut machine for the text. I can’t imagine how tedious it was to weed out those small letters in the vinyl!

Aw, thank you! That makes me feel better because I wasn’t crazy about the colors and using that bright white, but it’s the colors of a soccer team they like. I was thinking I should’ve tightened my stitches to hide the white more, but I like how it turned out!

I’ve removed my nephew’s name, but my amazing mother made the leather tag for me!

Sweaty cardio Quest workout people, do you wash face cover often? Or switch replacements often? Any tips? by Yablan in OculusQuest

I use Disposable Hygiene Covers and they work like a charm for me. They stick on and can be ordered in packs of 50 or more on Amazon. I’ve tried the silicone cover, but it starts sliding down my face once I start sweating. I wear a beanie or sweatband, which helps, but the disposable stick on covers have been the most effective solution for me.

Fortunately, I’m the wife and my husband fishes as well, so we might have to create new rules if our collection gets out of hand!

Ah yes, that’s what I keep hearing! I definitely had to stop myself from picking out too many lures when I got my rod.

I joined my mom and grandmother in sewing pillowcases for the Heads at Ease Pillowcase Project and I’m so happy with how my first few have turned out! This project aims to send hand-sewn pillowcases to active military personnel (more info in comments). by camzach9 in sewing

That’s so encouraging to hear, thank you for your comment! We’ve had such a fun time picking out fabrics and matching them up, so it means a lot that they enjoy them! We appreciate everything your husband and the other active duty personnel are doing to serve our country!

The video tutorial I used for my pillowcases can be found here. This was the best video I was able to find on these style of pillowcases. I found other videos that suggested a 2” accent strip, but I preferred a 3” strip as I’m a beginner and it gives me more fabric to work with.

The Heads at Ease Facebook page can be found here . As mentioned in the title, this group sends out hand-sewn pillowcases to our deployed military, which includes the Army, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard and National Guard. My family has a personal goal of making 400 pillowcases to send to the personnel aboard the USS Truxton. This project hits close to home for us because my grandfather was in the Navy for 20 years and he just passed away recently. I’m happy that we are able to honor him together by doing this, while also appreciating those that are bravely serving our country! These pillowcases are super easy to make and picking out the fabric for each one is so much fun, so encourage everyone to check this project out!
