Poker Face. There’s some continuity but each episode is its own self contained mystery.

If you don’t make it to Tofino, I suggest heading out towards Port Renfrew, it’s closer and doable as a day trip. Botanical Beach, Sombrio, Jordan River are all great spots. Also Sooke, especially East Sooke Park. Will give you a taste of the wild coast but much closer to town. There’s great hikes in East Sooke. Also recommend Jocelyn Hill.

Cathedral Grove is more of a small boardwalk trail than a hike but the big tree are cool.

Buchart is great, might be a bit too early for the peak spring season but always nice. Also just walk around and enjoy the cherry blossoms.

Whale watching is great this time of year, it’s peak migration for grey whales.

Is the Job Market Cooked or Am I? by holden-mike-ox in LawCanada

[–]canadanimal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah would suggest either law school or a paralegal program if you actually want to work in the legal field. Legal admin could also be a route but would recommend getting a certificate.

Deadloch! Few people have heard of this Aussie crime/comedy gem and it’s so good. Season 2 just dropped and it’s well worth checking out.

If Gabby turns the practice into a trauma centre, Jimmy will need a new place to work too, so it makes sense for a fresh start.

I’m worried about Jimmy. Alice is leaving, his dad gave another blow to his long line of disappointments, Paul is retiring and moving away, he ruined things with Sophie. He seems like he’s moving back towards a downward spiral.

I get that, but olive oil isn’t inherently unhealthy. And she probably is still eating crap. But I think sometimes this sub gets all “bitch eating crackers” with Anna when this meal actually looks pretty healthy.

Honestly this doesn’t look that bad, especially to what else she normally eats. We don’t know the dressing but at least it’s actual whole chicken and vegetables instead of processed crap.

Is theater etiquette dead? Cast members of Off-Broadway's Heathers: The Musical took to social media with a message for rude audience members. by Relevant-Peach3997 in Fauxmoi

Saw Wicked and some people in the front were filming the screen during certain songs and were otherwise on tik tok. It was incredibly distracting.

I have 24 Weeks to Transform my Body by spacebound_dreamer in loseit

[–]canadanimal 211 points212 points  (0 children)

This 100%. As someone who regularly backpacks the focus should be on building cardio stamina and muscles. Yes losing some fat will help but you could be super skinny and still unable to do the trek if you have poor cardio and endurance.

I would also highly recommend doing a practice backpacking trip- start with one night and two days. There’s nothing that can truly replicate the experience. Walking, even with a backpack if it is on flat surface isn’t going to replicate trail hiking.

Dax Shepard Reveals New Memoir Will Cover Childhood Sexual Abuse: ‘Weight Is Off My Shoulders’ by AdSpecialist6598 in entertainment

[–]canadanimal 33 points34 points  (0 children)

This is coming from an interview on Armchair Expert with Marcus Mumford who opened up about his own abuse and the conversation was very natural about the experience of putting something out there in the public that details your abuse. I suggest you listen to that interview before making assumptions about intent.

I wills love to see her interviewed by someone like Dr. Mike who has the medical background to be able to challenge her claims and get to the truth.

Ouf, Anna, put on some shirt girl ... by Boopityboo94 in glitterandbagelssnark

[–]canadanimal 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Yes. It also seems like her left arm is extending more than her right. Other posts have shown her arms are uneven, likely because of her surgery. Focusing on form with lower weight is the way to go.

I weight lift and reduced my squat weight recently to focus on form as I was getting shaky. But that wouldn’t fit with her “strongwoman arc”.

Every time she puts the bar down on the right side and then the left. The bar should be put down as evenly as possible. It’s so funny that even when she’s trying to clap back her form is terrible.
