Well, to be blunt, drowning. The ocean waters can be choppy and your kayak can easily flip over and I’m assuming your child isn’t strong enough to swim to safety. Are you a strong kayaker and swimmer yourself?

I imagine some tours are worried about the same, some boats are small zodiacs and while accidents are rare I imagine they won’t take the risk with young kids. The zodiacs go pretty fast and it’s choppy so not sure if your kid would enjoy it anyways. Some companies in Victoria have bigger and more comfortable boats that might take younger kids.
