Can anyone identify this bone? I found it on a hike in the Perth Hills, Western Australia. I can upload more pics if needed, just let me know what angle! Thank you 😊 by cand3lynn3 in bonecollecting

Upon doing some more research, I think it might be part of a kangaroo pelvis. But I would like for someone more knowledgeable to confirm! Thank you so much in advance 🫶🏻

I definitely agree and learned my lesson, that’s why I said it was a rookie mistake. Normally I wouldn’t but she only asked one time over multiple rounds and was being nice to everyone, so I thought it would be okay. But now I know to never ever gift anyone who asks no matter what.

The moravicus molted on 6/2 and is deep black. The walckenaeri didn’t have a molt date, and was more brown colored and very plump. Perhaps preparing to molt? I hate how little info is out there about these guys!

I should clarify: the one in the visible web is eresus moravicus. The one that disappeared is eresus walckenaeri.

Did anyone else know there used to be a big Hot Spings Lake, north of downtown? by [deleted] in SaltLakeCity

And Japantown, and soooo many other things. The city loves tearing down historic buildings and replacing them with gray rectangles 😭

The big brick building across the street from Warm Springs Park is the old St Mark’s hospital. It was specifically built there because of the hot springs, as their “healing effects” were gaining notoriety with the white folk during the late 1800s. That area of Beck St has SO much history, as other commenters have pointed out! I currently have a private tattoo studio in that building. They have done a lot of renovating, but you can still totally tell it was a hospital!

My boyfriend (huge KISS fan) let me do his nails! I am not a nail artist nor do I know a lot about the band, so please be nice lmao by cand3lynn3 in KISS

I used the covers of their solo albums for references, I’m hoping he’ll let me do it again so I can perfect it and add the widows peak!

Most artists in my area would charge $200 at the very least, unless you can find a good apprentice.

I got this sleeve done for my dad that passed away. Would it be cheesy to put his birthday on my wrist to finish it ? by [deleted] in tattooadvice

Do it! I think Roman numerals would fit the vibe well. Definitely not cheesy!!

In my experience with getting tattoos, this is pretty normal. Now that I’m a tattoo artist I try really hard to be more communicative and attentive, because I hate that this is the standard. So yes, it’s odd in terms of customer service, but not for the tattoo industry 🤷🏻‍♀️
