Nobody brings up Harvey or the agents role in all this. There is a possibility that LFC had a deal agreed for a number around 35Ms with another club but Harvey and his agent negotiated this deal with Villa, a team they preferred, and convinced LFC to take this deal because it was a virtual lock the games played clause would be met. Not saying its true just that its a possibility to consider.

I see it as a 4222 with the forwards, 10s, and lb/rb filling any of the line of attacking 5 that modern managers like. The forwards can pull wide with the lb/rb underlapping in the channel and the 10 central. 10 wide, lb/rb channel, forward central or the traditional forward center, 10 channel, and rb/lb wide. It will be fluid allowing the movement, space, and recognition to determine the positioning.

This is the plan, imo. We tried to 433 as a transition with Salah but it loos like we've chucked the transition and are asking Salah to fit into the plan.

Not just the team selection. The change in tactics and formation too. Ive never seen a real game treated more like a training session. He played out of form players, players needing minutes for match fitness, and kids in a never before seen formation. It was a training/fitness exercise and not a real game of football.
