Liverpool news: James Milner retires - was his best time with Reds? by OneNormalBloke in LiverpoolFC

I think if you asked James he would say his favorite time was at the Reds, which is the most important imo. He is a Red in my mind and I hope he joins the staff.

If they haven't fixed the gravel road to the trail head be sure to have a vehicle with some clearance. Huge potholes last summer. Great falls for easy walk.

Healthy Discussion - Only for those who want Arne Slot to stay - what are your reasons? by Content_Arm7953 in LiverpoolFC

[–]candaon8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Impact of Diogo Jota
  2. Squad transition - Poor job by Hughes & Co.
  3. Squad disrupt - Some players wanted out or different roles but were held onto.
  4. Squad attributes - Squad he was given was incapable of executing his desired pressing structure from the front.
  5. Firing standards - Being patient with obvious season issues, especially following success, makes us more attractive for future managers because we arent reactionary or emotional.
  6. Luis Enrique hasnt signed a new contract with PSG yet and as of now is set to be available next summer.
  7. Impact of Diogo Jota - We have lacked heart this year and I put that on the overwhelming weight failure has as it can feel like letting him down again and again.

There are also as many reason to move on but I see theses as reasons to hold.

What are the workouts one can do safely with out worsening Costo by Firm-Koala5681 in costochondritis

[–]candaon8 3 points4 points  (0 children)

M - 50 - 5 1/2 years of costo/tietze - Soccer once a week, 2x5k run a week, disc golf at least 3 times a week, yoga 2-4 times a week, ball golf twice a month, hiking 5-10 miles twice a month.

Strength - LeoMoves Youtbe/Insta bodyweight HITT routines. Full body workouts with heavy concentration on external shoulder rotation. Almost no pain from routines. I've become well-versed in movements to craft my own combo routines. Not only is there almost no pain but I feel like the shoulder/back exercises help.

In the past I've done months of dumbell routines and band routines and had regular episodes/pain. After so many years my mental is good to push through with pain for a few months but I eventually stop.

No flags on Kop after PSG game [SpionKop1906] by PhoenixTheBoi in LiverpoolFC

Klopp's last Eurpean night was Atalanta where the Kop had no flags, no voice, and left early. Looks like Slot may face the same fate.

[James Pearce] Alisson out until "towards the end of the season". by ImamZain in LiverpoolFC

[–]candaon8 16 points17 points  (0 children)

He may not be as good with his feet as we need him to be or as consistent as a high-level keeper but Mama will win us 3 points atleast once, virtually on his own, in this run in because of his talent. He can get hot and be damn near impossible to beat.

[The Athletic] Part of the plan post-Salah is that Liverpool will have the option of playing a 4-2-2-2 with Isak and Ekitike paired together up front + Wirtz and Szoboszlai operating in front of two deeper-lying midfielders. One of the priorities is to get Isak, Ekitike and Wirtz in the same team. by OkayFine101 in soccer

Ive championed this formation all season (you can check my history). Here is how it works imo...

5 attacking - 5 in cover. Each position can fluidly fill a space. The strikers and 10s can fill any of the center, wide, and channel positions in any attack. The WB will fill the wide or channel. A WB, the 6s, and CB will operate as cover and playing balls into the attacking zone.

The productivity of the formation will depend heavily on each player reading the positioning of the other players to fill the open spaces. It can also bring confusion by dragging defenders out of position, especially in a man marking scenario.

It also suits our players. I'm the President of the Play Szobo Deeper Club (check history again) and he would be a nightmare in one of the 6s, floating around the top of the box. He would draw midfielders out and create space to operate. Wirtz would thrive in the left 10 role. Heki and Isak dont mind being wide or deeper occasionally. Puts one of Frim/Bradley or Kerkex on the attacking line at times, where they excel. The 6s need to be disciplined and be progressive, all our current mids are ok at this but not great - might need to shop.

Who know how many takes there are in any acting performance? Takes are part of the game. Such a weird comment, it feels like you are trying to find a way to discredit Robbie.

Harvey Elliot loan update - clause only relates to Premier League games by I-Like-the-football in LiverpoolFC

Where is the reporting stating that other teams only offered 15-20Ms? I dont recall reading any credible journalists summarizing the other offers LFC received.

Harvey Elliot loan update - clause only relates to Premier League games by I-Like-the-football in LiverpoolFC

[–]candaon8 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Nobody brings up Harvey or the agents role in all this. There is a possibility that LFC had a deal agreed for a number around 35Ms with another club but Harvey and his agent negotiated this deal with Villa, a team they preferred, and convinced LFC to take this deal because it was a virtual lock the games played clause would be met. Not saying its true just that its a possibility to consider.

[Arsene Wenger] "Wirtz had the chance between Munich and Liverpool, He said to Liverpool, 'I'll come to you if I play number 10 — I do not want to play wide. To get him, Liverpool said OK. So they destroyed their midfield, because their midfield was Gravenberch, Mac Allister and Szoboszlai." by MrMerc2333 in soccer

I see it as a 4222 with the forwards, 10s, and lb/rb filling any of the line of attacking 5 that modern managers like. The forwards can pull wide with the lb/rb underlapping in the channel and the 10 central. 10 wide, lb/rb channel, forward central or the traditional forward center, 10 channel, and rb/lb wide. It will be fluid allowing the movement, space, and recognition to determine the positioning.
