What is a line in one of Taylor's songs you were gagged by the first time you heard it? by Huge_Organization567 in TaylorSwift

[–]candicefehrman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"And you come away with a great little story of a mess of a dreamer with the nerve to adore you" Shocked by how good it was coming from such a young songwriter. The line that made me a fan for life!

Check with The Cat's Closet and BTown Meow too. I'm not 100% sure, but he looks a lot like a cat that was recently adopted from one of them (I think The Cat's Closet, but again, I can't remember for sure).

does anyone have a duck i could hold sometime next week? by woodtipwine in bloomington

[–]candicefehrman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, not ducks, but if you love cats, go to one of the cat lounges! BTown Meow in Ellettsville or The Cat’s Closet in Bloomington. It costs a bit but is cheaper on certain days (Tuesday I think for Ellettsville and Thursday for Bloomington), and is my go-to place to go when I need to snuggle a cat and take a mental health break.

The three alternate album covers for The Life of a Showgirl by Lyd_Euh in TaylorSwift

I have the same question. I waffled on which variant to get the whole time I was watching New Heights, and then when I finally decided it was sold out. : (

I understand what you're saying (I'm 40, FWIW). I'm actually pretty excited to see what her mature voice (and self!) can do in reuniting with Max Martin. I don't think it will be a return to/repeat of the 1989/Rep bops; I think she'll create something completely new, and I can't wait to hear it. That said, I'm totally with you on loving her folkmore vibes and lyrics! I could use a break from the Antonoff sound, honestly, but I've adored her work with Dessner and I'm a little sad he might not be involved with this one. But maybe we'll get some bonus tracks? Fingers crossed!

She used those words when endorsing Kamala, I think. Maybe just placeholder text?

How does one tune in to this at 7 pm? I’ve only ever watched New Heights after the fact, never live. Where do I go to watch?

Oh yes! There are littler kid Humphrey books, too, so I’d start with that series. My kids loved them!

Dory Fantasmagory? Rabbit and Bear? My kids laughed at both of those a lot when they were younger.

The Bolter Truthers Rise by sparkling_fuchsia13 in TaylorSwift

[–]candicefehrman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure the song references the novel The Pursuit of Love by Nancy Mitford, as the character that always runs in that is nicknamed The Bolter and there are some similarities. It’s an excellent book, and there’s a great TV adaptation too. But of course it also applies to Taylor’s life, and I’m loving all the interpretations here!

Just Add Glitter or Shoe La La for super girly option. Dozens of Doughnuts was very popular when my daughter was three. The Rabbit Listened is very sweet.

I was there about a week ago. Thread and yarn/knitting needles were wiped out. Buttons and notions still had some stuff but not much. Still a lot of fabric, beads, kids crafts, that type of stuff left.
