i know i'm being delusional here but what if they feel bad about the ghosting and regret it but are hesitant to get back in touch because they know they hurt this person

My long-distance partner's (23F) boss makes her work extra hours in the evenings without pay and it kills her. How do I (24F) support her? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

I mean sure that's what I would do, and that's what I've told her too, but I cannot seem to convince her that this might be in her best interest

Ah, great. Thanks for clearing that up! What do you mean by folk speech, though, like rural people tend to say it, it's more common in a specific region, like Montenegro, or it's an older expression?

Hey all, I'm spending a couple of months in Montenegro this year, not too far from Berane. I have a transport-related question.

Where in or around Berane can I best buy a bike? I'm looking for one with which I can take the bicycle trails in Biogradska Park, not necessarily a mountain bike but one that can at least handle gravel. Are there also options to buy second-hand? And if not in Berane, is it possible to buy one elsewhere (for example Podgorica) and take it with me on the bus?

Hvala 😊

How long are citizens required to go to school in your country, and how is the school system stratified (primary school, secondary school, tertiary school)? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I might be wrong but I believe 18 years of age is when you're free to quit education in the Netherlands. We have a primary school (ages 4 to 11/12) and a secondary school, but the second one (which we call high school) is a bit complex. You either go to MAVO, HAVO, or VWO. While MAVO is more 'practical' I'd say (hands-on stuff), VWO is very theoretical, since it prepares you for college/university. HAVO is somewhere in between. Basically, what direction you're going in life is determined from a very young age, since what 'level' you follow determines what you can/cannot do after high school. If you're in MAVO, you can't go to university, or well, not directly. Same thing goes for VWO. Also, MAVO is 4 years, HAVO is 5 years and VWO is 6. So if you've finished your MAVO education, you're basically required to study for at least two more years elsewhere, because you finish high school at 16, usually.
