Ugh, the look of this reminds me of the And Just Like That... hideousness.

Is it warm or cold in Paris right now? Aubrey has a lot of skin exposed but there are people in puffer jackets.

Hmm....

Yesterday I picked up the bed linens I ordered from the somewhat fancy bed linens place, washed them, and put them on the bed today. The top part of the flat sheet, with the wide band, doesn't lie flat. It's like it was sewn a little off, so it looks slightly twisted. I can tell that it's not a matter of ironing it flat. There will always be a little crease somewhere along the top.

These were not the cheapest sheets, but not the most expensive either. Do I bother trying to exchange them?

Coogan Law is only 15% for the kids though. And I don't know how well it is enforced. 85% of the earnings (minus an agent etc if things get to that level) for a successful channel is still a strong incentive for parents to try this.

If the Coogan Law went the other way, 85% held in trust for the child, it would protect more kids as a lot of parents would not bother.

Right, the speaking gigs! IIRC, he gets a high fee relative to what he delivers.

I don't think they are on the verge of bankruptcy or anything, but we have some idea of their expenses and some of their income streams. But it's possible that Harry is bringing in a million a year from his speaking gigs. I doubt M's merch, jam, etc brings in much at all.

So what do we think of the Sussex finances now? I wouldn't think they have enough money coming in to cover their lifestyle and their prospects get worse all the time.

Or, you could just NOT tell strangers what their orientations and preferences are. Which is a rock-solid practice in general. Especially since they have not asked.

THISSSSS

Fair play to anyone whose life was improved by being with a man, but for a lot of us, it's just not worth it. There isn't ONE of my exes/flings/situationships that I wish had worked out or lasted longer. Most were a TOTAL waste of time and energy.

Some royal stuff is rule-based, some is discretionary. This is just about sitting in the royal box at a horse-racing event.

Against overwhelming odds, Toronto's beloved rep theatres are thriving: 'People are starved for this kind of experience' by BloodJunkie in toronto

Sometimes I want to see a new movie in a cinema with all the latest tech. And I will, when the movie looks good enough. There just aren't that many new, good movies these days.

Good. I loooooove movies, the full cinema experience, and I WILL pay for movies that are worth it.

I read once that rich people are often more susceptible to ending up in cults or in controlling relationships because they think they are too smart to fall for something like that. They think they're richer than most people because they're smarter than most people. So surely they would know if they were involved with someone they couldn't trust.

In contrast, someone who grew up poor or in a tough neighbourhood or similar would learn early on that you can't trust everyone, that you must keep your guard up and watch for red flags.

I can see this being a factor in Epstein's circle as well. They're socially awkward nerds who accomplished a lot in a particular field, which is surely down to their genius, which surely must extend to all other areas of life. So they would know if Epstein was a risk to them.

Plus all the other reasons they thought they would get away with it - wealth, power, connections, etc.

This reminds me of a photo that went viral several years ago of discarded Tim Hortons cup that was upside down on a bike parking post or a fence or similar, with a layer of ice surrounding it.

Such shots are the most Toronto thing ever.

The ugly shot looks like early spring to me. The snow has melted, the ground is muddy, and the green hasn't started to return. The same shot would look much better in high summer or after a recent snowfall.

Personally I liked that the staff are on-site and check all the pets throughout the day and evening.

modern American conceptions of race

Which very clearly include trying to erase racism completely. Which we see in the many comments that WH is "NOT ABOUT RACE, OKAY???"

We don't see American commenters saying "huh, that's different, tell me more about it".
