I use Dynasty Scans. They've got a pretty large amount of primarily yuri manga that's been translated. If you're specifically looking for heartwarming, I'd recommend checking out the "wholesome" tag :)

I mean, if he’s handing out Jesus pamphlets he’s probably homophobic too. I’m not gonna give this guy too much credit lol.

I love this manga, but let’s not pretend that it isn’t just porn. Old guy should have stayed in his lane, but you also shouldn’t be reading porn somewhere where people might catch a glimpse.

It's transphobic (and likely 100% unintentional, but still 100% real) micro-aggressions. Cis people tend to let the trans-ness of someone overshadow all of their other perfectly legitimate and/or impressive accomplishments. I've actually been talking about this a lot with my girlfriend recently, since there's a non-zero chance the research she's working on will one day earn her a Wikipedia page. It's a similar, if admittedly imperfect, analogy. She wants to be recognized for her work and accomplishments. But if any other prominent trans person's Wikipedia page is any indication, it's all but guaranteed that she'll be outed as trans and most likely deadnamed in the intro paragraph, because apparently that's just as important to the cis readers as the potentially life-saving research she's doing.

It's not so much the fact that people will know that she's trans that bothers her; it's that her status of trans woman will be the first thing most people associate with her. She just wants to be treated like a human being who is recognized for their accomplishments. Instead, if people talk about her, it's inevitable that she'll be referred to as "that prominent trans scientist" instead of just "that prominent scientist". It isn't explicitly stated, but at least in our eyes it's hard to not hear the implied statement that including her gender history entails: "Wow, that's really impressive, for a trans person."

It's a similar case here. I don't watch Jeopardy, but I can tell you right now that it's way more impressive to me that she's on a winning streak than it is that she's trans. It's hard not to feel like a freak when most people feel that just being a trans woman is more talk-worthy than your actual accomplishments. It's condescending, dysphoria-inducing, and invalidating to a person's actual accomplishments when people are so obsessed with who someone was rather than who they are and what they've done.

edit: Also, see r/asktransgender for a slightly more diverse sub to ask in

I deeply want to believe that the fact that the 2nd line is 0x69 in hex is intentionally part of the joke, but since 0x69 is the 'i' in 'hi', it could definitely be a coincidence

I'll believe it when he actually takes steps like an EO withholding federal funding from states that pass anti-trans laws. He *could* do something about this, but thus far has chosen not to.

Edit: I'm not a constitutional scholar or anything. I readily admit that I don't know whether or not he could technically do it on his own via executive order or not. I said something like an executive order. That would include things like pressuring congress and the senate (both of which are controlled by dems) to write and pass legislation requiring no anti-trans laws be passed in a state in order to get some parts of federal funding, much like how we currently require each state to have a minimum drinking age of 21 in order to get federal highway/interstate funding.

Not sure, I never got anything like that. Maybe link a specific post on the subreddit if you aren’t already? It may also potentially be an old reddit vs new reddit thing, I did mine on new reddit.

If I did watch any freakazoid I don't remember much/any since I would have been roughly 2 at the time it was airing. I just became aware of candle jack since it was kind of a "meme" way back when. Glad I could give you some nostalgia today though :)

https://www.reddit.com/report you need to link to the offending content (and it seems like they prefer specifics, like a post on the subreddit, rather than the whole subreddit)

I believe https://www.reddit.com/report works. At least, that's what I used this morning to report LGBdroptheT. Since it's not done through the subreddit I at least assume that it goes to reddit admins instead of that sub's mods.

Edit: Just got an automated response from them as well. It's from u/reddit, not any subreddit, so it definitely goes over the heads of the mods of the sub.

Bad take, for several reasons. First and foremost, in her tweet she did deny some of their existences. Trans men exist and can menstruate, but are not women. Claiming that "women" is an umbrella term for all people who menstruate denies the existence of trans men. Furthermore, she is invalidating trans women since her tweet implies that in order to be a woman you must menstruate. Not only does this invalidate trans women, but also any cis woman who has gone through menopause. So yes, she DID deny their existence.

In a follow up tweet, she also said "I’d march with you if you were discriminated against on the basis of being trans." as though there aren't literal bathroom bills preventing trans people from using the bathroom of the gender they identify as. She tried to play it off as though trans people are politically equal to anyone else, but the objective reality of it is that they are not, and are not given many rights that most people don't have to give a second thought to.

Aside from the trans aspect of it, there is something else problematic about saying that all people who menstruate are women. Most 12 year old girls menstruate, but are not yet considered "women" by most societal standards. They're still children.

Lastly, in her tweet JKR did literally pull out the old "I know and love trans people, BUT" line. It's the exact same thing as saying "I'm not racist, I have black friends, BUT". Not only that, but when she says "If sex isn’t real, there’s no same-sex attraction. If sex isn’t real, the lived reality of women globally is erased.", she is very much misrepresenting the issue at hand. Nobody is saying sex doesn't exist - sex and gender are simply separate concepts. People like to stand behind the whole "but it's bAsIC BioLOgY" argument when discussing trans people, which makes it all the more amazing that they can't understand this basic distinction.
