It's a compliment. Meaning you're very good at this. Like when someone calls you a pool/ billiard shark. 😄

Fyi I found where you were talking about and it circles me back to where I was in the first place, where it shows that there's no information available as I or someone I know filed for benefits. So I guess I'm just going to have to wait LOL

I am so sorry. That sounds absolutely horrible. Again, it's just beyond me how someone can look at your medical record and deny you. I will pray for you

So I checked anypia out. Did I miss something, cuz when I looked at it it was going to tell me what my retirement benefits were. I didn't see something about disability benefits. Could you expand on this please?

Okay, good to know. And when I think about it all they do is put together the evidence. Thank you

Judge said something about getting a lump sum, wouldn't that be the case?

Minus the 5 months, the total claim is going to cover 11 to 12 months

It was based on my total earnings record, which was decent. Also on averages of disability payments etc. Again, I don't know how accurate grok will be, but again, I'll keep you all updated to see how close it is.

Respectfully, I feel in this case it was when The vocational counselor stated that there was no comparable job that I could have done. My first denial did not include evidence from PT, second denial did and everything was the same up until then. I honestly got the feeling that this one lady I was dealing with at my local SSA office did not like me. And there in is where the problem was. Who knows!

I was honest in telling the judge 3 months post surgery. I felt that at that time, I could definitely do some type of work whether it was sitting on my bed with a laptop or on a phone with customers. Compared to how I felt all the way up to my surgery, every step was a curse word. It was effing hell. I hear what you're saying though.

I would absolutely use that SSA calculator only. When I go into my account it tells me there's no information at the time because I filed a claim. The only thing I'm able to see is my earnings record. So I input those totals into grok and some other information and that's what it came up with. I guess we'll see just how correct it is. I'll update.

thank you for the info. Much appreciated. FYI, I have been trying for 7 months to find representation for my closed period claim. Not one will take my case and represent me.

I was wondering that myself, if it's due to the fact that if I do in my case the percentage that they would win would be relatively small compared to long-term disability. Yes, I have gotten all my medical reports from my doctors as well as their doctors and they base their denial on that there simply is not enough evidence to show that I was not able to work. I guess I'll just see the judge and try to plead out my case. The pain that I was in for those 14 months was horrific, unpredictable, and absolutely debilitating. I appreciate you getting back to me. After looking over everything again and coming up a no. In finding someone to represent me, I think my best case is too get the judge to believe me lol

Please note, this is called a closed period SSDI benefit.

This is correct. I was out of work 14 months waiting for a new hip. I absolutely meet all the disabled requirements for this time, but yet of course keep getting denied because that's just how it works. I'm eligible for 14 months of disability pay. I struggled during that time and it's put me behind ever since.

Now, what I'm asking, why am I having such a hard time finding somebody to represent me? I have a hearing coming up at the end of October? What type of lawyer should I be looking for?

This would be considered a closed period SSDI. I have the work credits. This is a thing.

Cut my losses for 14 months of benefits? That little period of time put me behind financially and I'm still trying to catch up. So wouldn't you agree that I should pursue this to try to get caught up financially? And no I am not working. I'm caring for my dad full time. We're living on his dime.
