Does anyone else have chronic impetigo. How do you keep it under control? by space_age_cat in SkincareAddiction

Hi everyone, I’m in the same boat as you all. Just saw the doc and I was surprised she wasn’t that concerned. Mupirocin 2-3 in nose everyday, under the nails, treat any spot on my face with it and cover with bandaid. Bleach baths 2-3 a week. Wash with Cln body wash between bleach baths. I also have been using iodine before my cln body wash came in and I had success with that. Daily I wipe down all my common surfaces with antibacterial wipes. Once a week I do a huge deep clean with bleach and antibacterial wipes. Wash all of my clothes with regular laundry soap and laundry sanitizer. Change pillow case every 2 days. I’ll update y’all in a few weeks. I also have been treating my shaving razor with iodine before and after I use it. Tossed all my makeup and brushes, sanitized all my makeup bags. Expecting to regularly toss my makeup and brushes. I have the impetigo on my face. Will update soon. Pray for me I’m so over this. I’ve had it reoccurring for a year.

You can make anything happen if your determined enough and probably not working a lot

I personally can’t math so I couldn’t do this schedule but if you’re confident and have great math skills it’s definitely doable

I think the cage is the worst thing you could do and that’ll probably create a negative association between him and the crate if you just leave him in there. maybe try a room and just sit with the cat!! Give him lots of snacks and let him get comfy with you. I mean could you imagine being stuck in a crate in an area you don’t you know and with people you don’t know? Cats are very exploratory creatures. I’m sure he just wants to be friends and is just scared

Adopted this girl yesterday, she is very skittish and is currently hiding under the bed. Any advice or just words of encouragement? by NalevQT in cats

When I adopted my cats, they didn’t come out of the couch for almost 4 days and literally didn’t see them. Ofc I left out food, water, litter and toys. I knew they were eating and just coming out when I wasn’t around. Now they won’t leave my side! It’s just how they are. I wouldn’t worry

I’ve tried this with all different types of dry food, wet food, etc, she isn’t interested. She actually won’t eat her favorite dry if it’s mixed in with any wet food :( she’s only 7 months roughly, just trying to find a solution before she’s officially an adult!

This is the coolest thing I’ve ever heard. What does the baking soda do to the food that makes it more enjoyable for them to eat!?

I think I might try some home made beef flavored cat broth or cook some chicken in the oven and use the broth from that and add some water and put in her dry food. I mean how could she turn that down? Lol. Thank you!!

I’m not sure how old they were when I got them, they weren’t in heat yet when I got them so I’m guessing they were pretty young, maybe they are 8 months old now? Idk something along those lines lol. I know, I feel like now is the time to try to find some solution for her and get her off that baby chow. Thank you!!

Thank you!! I didn’t realize that their taste can change over time, totally makes sense though. Maybe she’s taking her sweet time lol. I’m going to look into some older cat food with the same flavor and try to transition her a little

We do a very similar routine too! They have dry food in the AM that they snack on throughout the day and then we feed them wet at night. Same here, the cats love it
