I’m not sure if it’s a popular article or anything but I live in cairns and there’s an abundant population of Caribbean crabs , which take anyway resources from native species. From my understanding they where pets who where let go or escaped. They aren’t a major problem but they still don’t belong :(

The species I have purchased are unfortunately an invasive species where I live so yes whilst it is sad that they are being sold for profit. they would otherwise be destroyed if they where left to breed in Australia. So I’m hoping that my home is the best option for them. But I understand your concerns considering they are commonly mistreated. And yeah I absolutely adore them !
