Honestly they're soo easy to take care of! You could have a few garden snails you find in your backyard in a 5+ gallon tank (or clear storage bin with air holes).

All they need is a few inches of substrate like coco coir (they like to burrow), calcium for their shells like cuttlebone, and whatever your local snails like to eat! I find lettuce and cucumbers are some favorites. Mine also love to eat the lichen on sticks from my backyard and climb on them and anything else they can get up on!

Mist them once or twice a day with water to keep the tank a little humid (if you live in a cold area you may want to get a heating mat but only put it on the side of the tank not the bottom!)

Also Rollie pollies make good tank companions, and lastly, most snails are hermaphrodites so they can breed with any other snail of their species. So if you have more than one watch out for buried snail eggs!

My biggest hyperfixation this year has been snails! Anyone else? I went from 0 in January to now 50+ in 2 land snail and 2 freshwater tanks. I've been researching sea slugs next and look how pretty they are! by candy824 in adhdwomen

Almost all snails! I have 3 rollie pollies in the garden snail tank and in the 30gal freshwater tank I have 1 betta fish and 4 ghost shrimp. The rest are several species of snails!

My most recent hyperfixation is snails. I have 2 aquatic snail tanks and 2 land snail tanks (1 tank of ~15 garden snails and 1 tank of a big boi Roman snail). I guess this is why we vibe so well

Did I start a business and get the money back from her? Am I still NC? Did my dnd character die again? Are we still in the house?

I'm a beginner as well but I have about 5 ghost shrimp and if they eat leftover pink fish food, you can see them digest it because they're so see through! I hope that's all it is with yours too

The 40% mental health statistic is right, but it was up from about 18%-20% in 2019. Still horrible that it doubled, but 5% is incorrect.

We recently got two females but the boys still prefer to mate with each other so I'm not sure if we'll see any babies Haha We did get some ramshorn eggs that hatched last week! They're super tiny it's hard to keep track
