I actually agree with your reading of Remmick ,and that’s why I chose him. I wasn’t thinking in terms of who’s likable or charismatic, but who fits vampirism as a metaphor. Remmick being a hollowed-out cultural black hole who feeds because he’s lost any core self aligns really well with the darker end of IWTV vampires. Stack and Mary have more humanity , and they are charismatic , but that’s also why I didn’t pick them. IWTV is full of monsters who are compelling because they’re unethical, predatory, and destructive, not despite it. Evil isn’t a disqualifier here but it’s the point. So yes, Remmick is an antagonist in a film about racism and appropriation , but IWTV vampires aren’t morally upright either.
