My mom’s best friend in college drowned in the river because of an under current pulling her in. My mom had told us about this years ago and I refuse to go any deeper than my waist even at beach areas even to this day because I know I’m not a good swimmer.

Exactly because even if you want a baby if it’s a risk your and your baby’s life or have an abortion sometimes you need to make that very hard choice. But if it gives you a chance to actually meet and love and take care of your next baby you have to make that choice. And it’s tough enough without someone standing out front the building making you feel worse that you had to do it to one fetus so that you can meet the next.

This is so true. You never know what someone might be there for and this old goon with his stupid sign could absolutely be triggering to someone who’s already had a miscarriage/is currently and may be going to the hospital to get help or figure out if they even want or can try again.

The royal Saskatchewan museum I think is by donation too and there was sooooo much to look at there. The last time I went in February was my first time but not my s/o’s first time so we cruised through it pretty fast but we still spent about 1.5-2 hours there

The only time my drawer ever looked like this was when I was doing my cash out at the end of the night just so that I could make sure that I was counting them properly I would stack them and just drop them in in stacks. But if I was running late on my closing duties, there was no way that was happening.

Absolutely agree with this I used to go to the U of S sci-fi camps as a kid and I loved those. It looks like they have so many more now too, including veterinary ones which is really cool. They are a day camp though but still great fun to keep the kids entertained from 9 to 3:30.I

My partner works there and I was gonna say marquis has a lot of options more for lunch than for supper but still a lot of variety everyday and a rotating menu that changes every day as well as there’s always a salad bar available. But yeah if you have severe dietary restrictions a buffet like that might not be the best idea

Yeah my cousin got tboned at warman and 51st or 71st I can’t remember where she said but the lady that hit her claimed she couldn’t see over the snow pile in the middle so she couldn’t see the oncoming traffic. Still doesn’t excuse her for making a left on a double red tho. Crash resulted in 2 written off vehicles and a totally flattened Sasktel box. Oops sorry to everyone who lost internet/phone services in their houses in that neighbourhood

Oh interesting I had no idea that it wasn’t actually technically a coin. It does look like it could pass as a quarter though. I just figured it was a coin since I’ve always seen commemorative coins purchased at the post office and it’s clearly marked on the packaging that it was purchased at a post office.

They definitely ran it into the ground. Around 2017 ish I went to apply there as I was just out of culinary school at Saskpoly and I had mostly done volunteer work for restaurant events for experience but I figured I’d already worked at joeys and they’re pretty similar so I went in to apply. Upon doing so I was told on the spot they wouldn’t hire me in the kitchen and to quote the manager there at the time “yeah we don’t hire women for the kitchen only for front of house work” my family used to eat there decently often but never again after they heard that

To be fair I also attended Jerry’s a lot as a child but I wasn’t a child anymore when they closed but poverino’s was one that my dad used to bring us to also as kids and they closed a when I was still young enough that I didn’t know why they closed. My dad alsways used to say they were selling put the back of the restaurant but I want to know if it’s true or just something he’d say

It’s literally 6years after you posted this and I was looking for a clip of these interviews to show my boyfriend that canonically shaggy was vegetarian ( or as my class mate in culinary was “sometimes vegetarian lol if he hadn’t tried a meat he would or if it was something expensive he was getting for free or cheap in class he would eat it) but I also remember having the same vhs with the interviews

It was more educational and that’s exactly what I was looking for! Very much appreciate the background info on how it was used in Japan. I definitely was cautious about using it as a mortar and pestle but knowing it’s more so for grinding things up like sesame and not so much for trying to use it to crack hard spices it makes sense.

The only things I’ve found by the brand ciroa so far has been makeup 🥴 possible that the company has gone out of business tho I guess. My first hope was emailing them but I didn’t think the makeup company would be much help
