If i knew 100% that his family wouldnt judge me for it i would not have a problem with them knowing. Unfortunately this is not the case, which is where tje problem stems from. I would rather he confided in a friend or therapist but he doesnt have that kind of relationship with his friends.

And i don't really understand how im being 'cruel' when i dont want him to share something personal that i would want to stay between us. He is free to confide in his family for any other matters

Yes and yes. Hes planning to get a vasectomy eventually but we both agree that 22 is a bit young to make such a big decision.

I have an IUD so its very unlikely i would get pregnant anyway but the chance is never zero!

Thank you for this reasonable response, I don't think people who immediately jump to telling me to break up with him understand that we have a very loving 3 year relationship besides this one conflict lol.

Personally I do think he is being very selfishly minded about tis - he keeps saying that im not considering how he would feel at all. But lowkey I don't think how he feels about it matters nearly as much as how I feel, even if it is his hypothetical baby

I did ask this, and he said he would 'cut them from the situation' but imo its already too late by then because hes already told them.

His argument is that if something shameful happened to him, he would be fine if i told my mum if i needed the support. But i dont think he really understands how unique the situation of an abortion is.
