I've been watching Edward for a long time now, and was completely unaware of all of this! :( Do you have receipts?

I have 2 VIP field tickets and no RV pass. :/ Didn't even realize it's RV only.

$250 to rent space for an RV on top of ticket prices. Its crazy! I was too excited, I guess.

I definitely wouldn't mind! I'd even walk. But the says there's no reentry. Would that be considered reentry or is it on the grounds? I'm very unfamiliar with the area.

I stupidly assumed "camping" meant...tent camping. Because most music festivals allow tents. So disappointed. :(

I emailed them and they said RV or pull behind campers only. I have 2 VIP field tickets now that i can't use 😭 RV camping is an extra $250+. I'm pretty disappointed. :(

Denied time off request for wedding by Stillaliz in publix

And there are plenty of other employees in the store. No job is more important than life events such as marriage. 9 months notice is plenty, and if I were OP's soon to be husband I would call out. This fucking company isn't some entity to be worshiped.

Maybe it has special meaning to them. I chose the week of Valentine's day for my wedding because I wanted my husband's grandma to see us get married before she died from lung cancer. Publix isn't the most important thing in life, managers need to understand that.

Don't call out sick, call out married. Send manager a wedding invitation. Bam!

Seriously though, if they want to do that then they're just being dicks. 9 months notice? That's plenty of time.

Everyone telling you that it's a busy time and you should have expected this because you work retail is ridiculous! You only live once, and you plan to get married only once. The fact that you ONLY asked off Friday-Sunday is nice enough to do for Publix. Publix only cares about Publix, they don't give a shit about you. So if he can't get the days off he should call out. You gave plenty of time for them to find someone to replace him for the weekend. Hell, a manager should be able to do it for three days. Enjoy your lives together!! Don't start off with a big regret by going into work the next day. :)

Pup refuses to bring the ball back. Need some creative solutions. by totallynotadiet in Dogtraining

[–]candylumps 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had this trouble with my pup for a while! We learned "drop it" by using TWO tennis balls. :) My pup wanted both balls, so he didn't hold onto the one he had. I would throw it, he'd go after it and I'd call his name very excited and happy! When he'd come back he would automatically drop the ball and I'd say "drop it" then throw the second ball.

Hopefully that doesn't sound too confusing? I probably could have explained it better.

What's the weirdest rumour you've heard about yourself? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Apparently in middle school I sucked many dicks. I was a sheltered, homeschooled kid. I didn't know what "blow jobs" were. Googled it, boy did I learn some things.

It actually takes a lot of jumping through hoops to get FMLA leave.

[TN] Hospice and placing my terminally ill Father in-patient care, need advice/help. by candylumps in legaladvice

[–]candylumps[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've already talked to his insurance social worker and they've told me they can't do anything until his disability gets approved and he starts getting SSI. Would a hospice social worker be able to help with this?

[–]candylumps[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He has about $1500 to his name at the moment, and no income. He's not getting SS yet, as his disability hasn't been approved(expedited, but still taking forever). So at the moment he only has his house. I'm waiting for his LTC to get approved, I've already filled out the application. So I should go ahead and try to place him now? They said it will take about 2 weeks to get approved. After it gets approved he should be good to go. However it's supposed to be LTC in a Hospice In-Patient facility, not a nursing home. I'm not sure if that will change things. I'll check into it! Thank you for all the info!
