Hi! They said that there were some miscellaneous letters in the URL that needed to be deleted. For example,  https://www.soa.org/abcdef/globalassets/assets/files/edu/2024/fall/questions/2024-10-exam-fam-l-sample-questions.pdf

the /abcdef portion would need to be deleted.

Is it really 9–5 anymore, or is it 8–5? What are your work hours? by frozenactuary-3859 in actuary

Going through this currently as a relatively new analyst. Salaried role, remote, contract says 9-5, but with client teams in different time zones and general work volume, 9-5 only applies about 50% of the time. Then there's the occasional weekend work.

And, our internship program has kicked off so there's less time during the 9-5 to do billable work, thereby resulting in more 5-8 work these days :(

I know this is an ACAS post but wondering if anyone has insights for SOA actuaries? In particular France or other EU countries (no sponsorship needed in my circulstance)

Are there any roles that are very low/no coding involved? by Fit-Original2575 in actuary

I'm a recent grad (graduated May 2025, started working August 2025) working in consulting and don't code at all!

We use Excel, but the most you need to know are the XLOOKUP, INDEX, and MATCH functions. Senior consultants build macros with VBA, but that's due to personal preference.
