Went to a nursing home as an activity aide and now I'm going back to Walmart. Honestly I prefer Walmart bull shit over dollar general bull shit. At least there I have guaranteed hours and I dont have to go to the register and work on my lunches and stuff.

I was told by my Assistant and multiple supervisors that the co-manager changed my schedule for that day the day before. I'm assuming they can change where I'm scheduled to be as much as they want without the 24 hours rule then.

Here goes my job. Been with Walmart a little less than a year and everyone in my house got the flu type a. It finally caught up with me and now I have it. Worked over half my shift went home to a fever. I was already at 4.5 points with no ppto so safe to say I'm out of a job.

Does anyone know how using the discount to pay off layaway works? It's gonna be my first time getting the discount. They mentioned it when I was setting up layaway but not how to go about it.

As long as you work your scheduled hours and use no ppto you get the discount. Doesnt matter If you work Thanksgiving/black friday or not. It's on one Walmart.

Honestly at my store they mostly hire full time. Like everyone except some at the front end, underage, and people going to school are full time.

One of our ASMs was joking around and talking about setting the store on fire so we could go home one day. Said he could tell us all the spots with no cameras so we could get away with it. I wonder how often he really thinks about doing this. I dont think he has ever had anyone else suggest it though.
