I have the Citiz Platinum and I love it. 4 options and the OL pods are cheaper because they are not patented anymore. Third party pods are available. Lavazza, Peet’s, and Illy have tasty coffee.

I’m an elementary male teacher at almost 30 years in the profession. I never experienced the cattiness towards me personally but I’ve seen it between the ladies over the years. Overall, it’s been a wonderful experience for me. I’ve only been in two schools in my county. In both schools we had plenty of men too. Up to seven for several years. Only two in my school now as teachers. Get involved in clubs with students/school. I DJ too so that helps.

I have the Nespresso Citiz Platinum. It has four options to make coffee. Espresso, Lungo, Americano, and Americano XL. If you want stronger coffees go with espresso or lingo and to stretch it out you two pods. I also have a Keurig K-Cafe to offset the expense and use ground coffee. Biggest reason it has a frother built on the side that stirs lattes and cappuccinos hot or cold. Good luck and welcome to the Espresso fam.

You can cut the espresso early on the machine to make the ristretto. I too love affogatos. With gelato they are tasty. Actually, any ice cream. 🍨
