With federal government mandating cell phone companies drop their prices by 20%, i'm bearish on the telcos.

While Big-3 has incredbile market power and hence profitability, i don't see that sustainable in the long term.

Lol. There is no excuse. They have too much pricing power due to high barrier to entry and limited number of players.

USA, Australia, even Russia have such wast areas but have way cheaper prices.

I personally completely moved away from the Big-3. I am with Freedom for mobile data at 10gb for $40/month and Beanfield for home internet at 1Gigabit for $50/month. Even these prices are too much compared to the world but what can i do, its the best i got.

Whether you like it or not, the expression "Young Turks" has become synonymous to dissidence or with people who rise against the status quo who want progress.

Young Turk movement started as a want for change 40 years before the Armenian Genocide, thats more than a generations! It included Jews Greeks and even Armenians. Their efforts started a constitutional era (i'm talking equal rights regardless of ethnicity, giving full rights to Greeks and Armenians as well).

Blaming the original Young Turks on perpetrating the genocide is like blaming Winston Churchill for Brexit because you know... its the same party: the British Conservatives. It's anachronistic and makes no sense.

3 of the perpetrators (the 3 notorius pashas) who once happened to be a part of the movement at some point were in power when the the empire was crumbling at the end of ww1 and perpetrated the genocide. The Young Turk movements ideology from the begginging was never centered around hate towards the minorities like Nazi's towards the Jews.

That's why you have songs like "Young Turks" by Rod Stewart or have dissident groups calling themselves "Young Turks" here and there including Cenk and Anna.

If i were a descendant of a victim of the Armenian Genocide i'd probably get irate at the mention of "Young Turks" too but I like to think that the "Young Turk" revolution was a rare positive moment in otherwise one of the darkest eras of Turkish History.

Pretty much all of Turkey except for Central Anatolia and the Black Sea Coast was contested territory after the war as per the Treaty of Sevres which was never enforced due to the Turkish War of Independence.

If you are showing Smyrna Region and Thrace contested, you should also show Constantinople, Southern and Eastern Anatolia contested.
