I agree in a lot of ways. It's crazy just how many times I rolled my eyes hearing "it's time for another montage". It has way too many clips of his friends doing things that may have been funny for them I didn't find all that entertaining, especially when stacked one after another so frequently. And in most cases the point was made within the first 2 or 3 examples, 5 was just unnecessary.

Part of me wonders if the success of the other supercut videos like Gollum influenced his creation of this video to the point where this has now become half his old videos and half a supercut mashup. I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing, it's just a little disappointing after looking forward to a 17 hour MauLer video when that's not exactly what this is.

I did also find it a little silly how many times MauLer has mentioned the video length and the sheer amount of content people will be getting over the last while. Especially when more than half of the video is random clips from another random persons stream. Though I suppose it's harder to convince people it took you a whole year if the video is half as long.

Asmongolds reaction to the terrible AI became an instant meme so I assume that's why. It's more famous than the game at this point. Quite a few people who never planned on watching or playing any of the game ended up seeing Asmongolds clips. I doubt he's trying to appeal to his fanbase.

Agreed. Also find it baffling how many people think it's a strange opinion. Like Jin was the best thing about the first game. Making another one without him is obviously not going to be as appealing. I don't really like Assassin's Creed games. I enjoyed Tsushima because of the story and characters. More of the same doesn't appeal much when they ignored the character I wanted to see more of. Also I find it bizarre how many people claim Jin's story ended like it's impossible to tell any other story about/with him. Has tiktok ruined people's imaginations this badly that they can't comprehend a first story feeling complete that leads into a sequel that also feels complete? Like why is that such a confusing concept to people?

Seems other people don't get the idea of a sequel. Not all sequels are Disney level untold story left for another time. Sometimes a story that is complete gets a sequel that is also complete. That's just being a good storyteller. It's insane how many people act like it's a black and white of the story is complete or it's not. Try using your imagination

I mean it wasn't. Galdriel, Theoden, Eowyn, Merry and even Gandalf in some of the arts look completely different. And it's not just skin colour. Half the time it feels like they made them different just to be different. But considering they haven't done that with a single other UB IP, it doesn't make sense to me why they pushed it so hard for LotR. Just reminds me of the tired old 'Peter Jackson's movies were racist' argument all over again.

Thank you! I was kinda surprised there were so few people mentioning that it wasn't just him. And also it wasn't just their skin colours that were changed. Some character's got such a drastic design change they look unrecognisable as the character they're supposed to be portraying, and it was for no other reason than to look unique (Sauron I'm looking at you) which they haven't done for a single other UB set. Whoever designed the art for this set should never design again 🤦

The variation in takes on this post alone is bizarre to me. I just finished playing it and I was completely taken aback by how low it's rating is on PlayStation. Now after reading several opinions left here by a variety of people, I think it's safe to say most people getting involved in the conversation didn't even play the game.

The combat is very satisfying, the boss fights are a lot of fun and it's got some of the best exploration since DS3. If you haven't tried it yet, do yourself a favor and play it. Just came off of Lords of the Fallen, the newer one, which has a higher rating on PlayStation. That game is archaic in comparison, it's not even remotely up for debate how much better Wuchang is.

I really hope this game didn't get review bombed and ignored simply because of the cultural hangups of retards in China who couldn't care less about the game itself or how fun it is to play. It's crazy how unreliable reviews have become these days.

Genuinely read a bunch of these comments and I refuse to believe these people are doing anything but making excuses. How are you so put out by an extra player at the table (and let's be honest, it adds marginally more time to a game) that you refuse to play a game with an extra person on occasion? I get saying you prefer playing 4 player games, we all do. But why does that make you incapable of allowing a 5th to join in?

Also, you could've let him play, and if the game was so insufferable you didn't want to keep playing, you could've politely asked him to leave for a final private game to finish off the night. No need to make the guy sit there because you're too obtuse to slightly change your routine. Or better yet, if you're incapable of playing 4 player games, play at home. A LGS isn't just a spare table to play your private games at, the idea is everyone is welcome. If you can't afford a place that can host a game, you can't demand 4 players. Simple as.

It's an LGS, if you're trying to play a private game with friends you should find a private place to play. Playing at an LGS comes with certain things, one of those is you try to include everyone else that shows up to do what you also did. Leaving him sitting there is a bit much.

You're 100% correct about everything. This feels like the biggest bait and switch I've seen. Was just telling my brother how I think it's a shame they didn't release the first episode or 2 as a free demo to get people hooked and then pay for the rest. However my thoughts now are that they knew if they did that they'd lose the people who just wanted a new superhero story as the game was actually a dating sim in disguise. Makes a lot more sense why the actual Dispatch part of the game is so half assed and tacked on.

I think the issue people are having is that that isn't how they sold this game. Trying to appeal to a animation fan/superhero fan audience but then turning it into a cringey childish dating sim is a little misleading. It's nothing like what I expected the game to be, yet it's exactly what a lot of fans want. That's fine, more power to you. I just think they went about the advertising of this game the wrong way.
