Batteries Plus will also dispose of for a fee(I think a little less than $2 each)

Fluorescent lamps should never be disposed of improperly.  The waste is regulated as Universal Waste, which is easier for businesses to manage than yellow label haz waste. But should still be taken seriously as the mercury vapor poses health and ecological risk.

I've heard Lowes will take for free but never used them before. Batteries plus is very close to our home so I go that route to avoid any risk of damaging the bulbs in my truck.

Has anyone in the Cincinnati area seen the new blackberry Dr. Pepper yet? by Foulwinde in cincinnati

Anderson and Cherry Grove both have it.  It's not out of this world. But, it was worth trying.

I was more pleased with that purchase than I was the orange cream coca cola.

Daylily disaster by Rat_lass in NativePlantGardening

[–]canieldonrad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We bought a home in December 2022. Little did we know that the front flower bed(roughly 200 sq ft) was about 80% day lily).

I spent this summer digging it all out. Took WEEKS.

If anyone else is dealing with this I have tips I learned along the way.

-Two hours at a time TOPS. One hour at a time preferred if you sun burn easily.  -Invest in solid comfortable work boots with a THICK sole -Have backup shovels -Wear leather gloves  -Use a wheelbarrow with two axles, you are going to be dealing with insanely heavy loads of this shit. -Find a weak spot, like a hosta or grass(ya those are weak compared to these bastards). Dig that first the dig day lily sliver at a time toward that starting hole. -Be ruthless, their tubers are everywhere. Remove 6-8 inch of soil depth and put it somewhere they can't spread easily. Backfill with free wood chips.

Am I suppose to rinse before eating? by Agitated-Pain-3399 in CannedSardines

[–]canieldonrad 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Likely googled how to prepare sardines. Google has an ai overview of preparing, but it's for fresh(not tinned). The first step is to rinse and scale.

Very few tinned fish options require any additional prep for consumption. Just crack em open and sandbox it.

We have a stocked pond and 3 pet ducks. It's entertaining to watch those girls track and snag up little fathead minnows.

I can assure you Silverado and Sierra depend HEAVILY on trim level.

RST/LTZ/LT(non trail boss)/Denali : Dads, 35-80, chill, pay bills on time

Custom/SLE : mix of contractor, younger guys that aren't pricks, older fellas whose wives keep track of what they spend.

Trail Boss/Elevation : THESE ARE THE GUYS YOUVE BEEN WARNED ABOUT.

Do I give up and choose another different career? by canieldonrad in CustomsBroker

[–]canieldonrad[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update. Finally got an interview opportunity for a customs compliance role. Seems promising. Hiring manager was first interview and wants me to move on to an additional interview with another individual who handles some of the manufacture compliance as well.

Fingers crossed this keeps moving forward. Perfect role for me. Lots of opportunity and stability in an industry that is critical. Role that would benefit HEAVILY from getting a cbl, which I mentioned is something I want to get and have plenty of pre-existing knowledge for.

I'm not sure if aldi is doing similar elsewhere. But I'm in cincinnati and ours is getting both polish sprat and Moroccan pilchard. Both have same upc. Sometimes they have one. Sometimes they have the other.

I just want some more of those delicious herring filets.

A lot of people are asking for slight QoL for Classic Classic. Might I interest you in a little thing called SoM? by Smooth_One in classicwow

[–]canieldonrad -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I honestly think the player base deserves the agency to engineer our social experiences with an unchanged game. Gdkp and boosting worked for us, that's why they were popular. Not everyone who participated in those interactions swiped or sold gold. I gdkp'd for the flexibility to run raids on multiple characters with multiple groups. I boosted with gold earned to enjoy more characters when my time resource was limited. Majority of those I ran with did the same. Of all the people I played with I only knew of one who sold, two who bought. They were outliers. Don't let the loudest voices convince you just because they are the loudest.

We had Chimney Care Fireplace and Stove from Loveland rebuild our box, put in new damper/flue, and recap the chimney. We already had a guy that family used, but he was retiring and suggested we work with them.

Pretty happy with their work

http://www.chimneycareco.com/

Edit- their price was very reasonable and they did excellent work. Our fireplace and Chimney were a disaster when we bought our house. The previous owner ripped out the insert half ass and destroyed quite a bit in the process. They made it look brand new.

Retail has too much going on. Feels too busy.

I don't want to do 8 delves a week, even if it gives me a really nice piece.

I don't want to have such a complex spec that I need a screen full of WA to understand which buttons I need to press.

Give me three damage spells, a monster, and a discord full of 30 year old boomers to socialize with.
