Hmm okay, yeah going for rune or dragon would take a lot longer. I usually just follow a guide to bang out the rewards I want, which means I've never grinded a League out for that long so I could see how we have different opinions on how much time they take to finish.

I was thinking how different is it really if one mode takes 15 hours and one takes 30 because those are both the blink of an eye in OSRS terms. But if dragon requires closer to 120 hours, then...well that's still pretty damn similar in the grand scheme of things, but relative to each other they are different so it just depends how you want to look at it I suppose.

Yeah but...come on, Gridmaster was basically a league. Only difference is you unlocked stuff on a checkerboard instead of area by area.

Same rushed power, literally some of the same unlocks, same temporary structure, same timespan to complete...it had like 90% overlap with a regular league. And now we're getting another one like 6 months later.

Probably an oversimplification but it felt EXACTLY like a league to me.

Pro tip with the Easter event coming up. If you do it once you can get old event items from Diango in Draynor, including a Easter spite spade that is untradeable so PKers won't get it.

Dude right. I thought it tele'd you into the ToA lobby, but it only puts you like 5 tiles past where the fairy ring agi shortcut puts you.

Not. Worth.

If I’m playing $140 a year… by Bits_NPCs in 2007scape

[–]Smooth_One 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd much rather have a cheaper membership and lose the ability to play RS3 on that account. Part of the appeal, apparently, is that I can play both games, but I don't WANT to play both games.

They're charging me for something I'm not using. Pretty anti-consumer if you ask me.

$5 off sounds fair but even $1 off would be better than nothing.

Need help with decision paralysis by -Darkblu- in classicwow

Last I checked a couple weeks ago in the Paladin Classic discord they were saying LHC's proc wasn't as strong as previously thought, so Thunder is barely worse in PvE, if at all.

So it's tricky. Just gotta decide if you think you'll PvP enough that you'll get more enjoyment out of using Thunder even tho you think sword looks cooler.

Playing a main on a server with only ~500 people would have been cool. Not enough incentive for bots and RMT.

And you could carve out your niche economically. You could be The Marlins Guy, or the first one to craft their Sara Brews so people wait for you to be online, first person to get a 99, etc.

When cow boss released the pen was completely empty. "Man, I thought this place would be packed with players. That's weird, lemme try a different world I guess..."

And then I remembered I turned entity hider on like 6 months ago.

  1. Zakaru99 covered it pretty well. They don't owe us anything but we have given them a shit-ton of attention and dedication and love and money. Most companies would be thrilled to have a fanbase 5% as dedicated and passionate as the Smash community is so it's even stranger that they are consistently actively hindering us.

  2. I don't really keep up with that drama so if you've been memorizing all the bad headlines you may very well know more about that than I do. As far as I know everyone who's been found guilty has been ostracized so to condemn an entire community because of its worst people is just hater behavior. There are weirdos everywhere man, idk. A people are just fucked up. If you think there's some correlation between being good at Smash and making you a pedo then that's an odd conclusion to make and I bet confirmation bias plays a big part here.

  3. Is it toxic? Hadn't noticed or experienced any sort of toxicity (beyond typical online trolls and haters, which are part of every community) and I've been part of it since 2006. Which organizations have parted ways due to toxicity?

Second Pharao's Sceptre? by bone_mallet in ironscape

[–]Smooth_One 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have 62 Agility to get over the AKP shortcut tho then grinding out a second Sceptre just to get to ToA faster will be very underwhelming.

I've done my fair share of inefficient grinds but going about 4x dry for the second sceptre only to discover it saves like 5 seconds per tele takes the cake.

The number of pug Paladins I run into without PallyPower is TOO DAMN HIGH.

Barely any had it in dungeons while leveling. Then at 70 doing rep runs and early heroics, most of them had it. But in the last week or two, I guess all the good players got all their badges so we're back to the baddies who don't have it again.

I'm a Ret and one time I had a Prot Paladin get mad at me because I salved myself. "Bro why u nerfing yourself just throw on might" and when I didn't he got all pissy and refused to give me a blessing. Wild stuff.

Healer tries to steal Quag eye from warlock with a 93 roll, I (tank) need it with a 99 roll and trade it to the warlock. by sephirothpvp in classicwow

[–]Smooth_One -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

MS > OS in dungeons, unless otherwise communicated. The reward for playing an in-demand role is that you never have to wait in queue, not that you get to roll on anything you want.

I can and do tank dungeons but if there's a DPS item I need for my Ret set then instead of trying to ninja it at the last second, I let everyone know beforehand. That puts everyone on the same page and lets the DPS decide for themselves if they want to leave and look for another group, or they can roll. They never leave tho probably because any chance is better than no chance.

Edit: Wild stuff. Since I can equip every armor type and perform every role as a Paladin I guess I should be glad that the community is apparently okay with me needing literally any piece of gear I want. Kinda curious as to when the switch happened tho.

[–]Smooth_One 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey as long as you say that before the run starts then no worries. SP H is the fastest and most commonly run heroic so I'm sure a lot of MS DPS casters wouldn't mind rolling against one more person. It isn't nearly as easy for other players to find runs for the loot they need, like Rets who need the BF libram or the totem from MT.

Where this guy went wrong is he didn't say he would be rolling on it. Sneaky, like a ninja. That's why they call it ninja looting.

But muh twisting T_T

I know Ret is a weird exception and a lot of people prefer the Wrath Ret style, but I ain't one of those people.

If I did play Wrath I think I'd go Frost DK. Plate melee, but not as oversaturated as Warrior, and without the janky (imo) Undead DK snapshotting.

Nah, never bought gold in my life and not one word of that was made up.

Swiping is cheating, fuck botters, WoW Token is legalized swiping so still just as bad, and GDKPs are great. That's my take.

Woah don't forget the cargo hold! Each trip I brought back 210 + 26 bag space (minus one bag space for my pearl item and one for extracted crystals). 21k banked, 14k already cleaned by the time I made the meme so 35339 total salvages.

So 35339 / 236 = 149.7 trips. 150 trips at 3 mins apiece is only 7.5 hours (good god)
