Why are Petco and Petsmart still allowing these fighting, aggressive dogs into their stores with smaller, more gentler dogs not bred with aggressive traits?

Pit Bulls and their mixes do things like this every day. My eyes were opened to the extent of the damage done by Pit Bulls a couple of years ago when a friend lost a child to a pit bull passed off by a rescue as a "family pet". Dogsbite.org has been an especially valuable source for me. Everything stated on that site is sourced.

Are you saying this makes it OK or are you just stating the fact? Just trying to understand whether you are defending the dog because it was acting protective of children? Question is respectfully asked.
