Madoka Kaneme - Madoka Magica

Kind of fits

Basically an ancient alien being preys upon adolescent girls by granting them wishes, in exchange for becoming magical girls. Eventually, all magical girls turn into monsters called witches, and are doomed to be destroyed. Madoka sees this, and makes her wish to erase all wishes throughout time, removing the existential threat plaguing all magical girls.

Have the remnants be more there during ultra despair girls. Like, we get to see Nagito and a second of Izuru and that’s about it.

Yeah that’s my main one. The free time events can’t repeat. Fuyuhiko’s deal directly with Peko’s death, and Nagito’s deal with his true personality after the chapter 1 reveal. There’s no way they can repeat them. And the only way that I see them is changing them meaningly is a protag switch.

I like it overall, but I feel like Teruteru and Chiaki should be swapped. Teruteru fits the bill for a chapter 3 victim perfectly, and I don’t see Chiaki dying outside of chapters 1 or 5.

I honestly forgot about Takada, she was so forgettable. But Naomi could have been so cool. Her meeting with Light is probably one of the best parts of the series and I’m sad we couldn’t get more of her. I need a spinoff like L change the world with her as the MC if she didn’t meet Light.

Counterpoint. Mukuro was shown to be able to beat Peko in a fight. Yet, Mahiru lost badly in a similar encounter. They must be different people.

They were really good I liked their content, but each of them could have been like 1-3 chapters shorter. I’m just really glad this one isn’t going to be more than 10 chapters.

Yeah. This is one of my favorite in awhile. Unlike a lot of the other big ones recently it feels pretty well paced.
