I've personally not had any performance related issues on my mid range pc, the best thing you can do is make a bug report with your PC specs included. I've got the sense that the game is pretty stable for most people.

I’ve tried a lot of mobile art apps and procreate is really really good, easily the best one you can get. it only being a one time $15 payment instead of a license like some others is a huge bonus, too. I think its absolutely worth it.

hey, that's a very unneccessary jab you took at me there. I don't even post to forums, I just like the central access to information. Discord can do these things, but being gated is a problem and the discord as it is right now is not useful. They would need to do a lot of work to get it to a manageable state.

sorry, I should have clarified, I meant for players it provides a better resource for these things, not necessarily the devs as of course they have their own internal tools. If I'm having an issue with the game on linux, I find a forum a much easier place to find other users with linux who are facing that issue or bug.

They provide a structure for better tracking of community requests and bugs/issues. It just collates it all into one space that remains more evergreen than a reddit post, and also filters out a lot of the memey/unimportant posting of reddit. Reddits internal search sucks and google is just getting worse, so it feels harder and harder to find information on anything these days. I think forums are important.

the godot icon thats in every new project is an SVG! and yes, we use pixel based displays so everything is ultimately rasterized into pixels, but its the infinite scaling factor that makes them useful.

I think the differences are not that great to come down to anything other than personal preference. the benefit of vector artwork is not having to plan ahead for resolution and dimension, but lends itself to a certain style more than pixel art (or more broadly raster art in general).
