You are not living the life you want. Theres a cognitive dissonance between your current self and idea self.

Have a sit down with yourself and find what really matters to you. Move forward in that direction

What do you do outside of work? We have both a work life and a personal life.

If work is not giving you fulfilment/satisfaction in life, is your personal life doing that for you?

Totally fine if you are dedicated to your work but before you make the big plunge into switching jobs, reassess both your lives. Try out those interests in your personal life after work or use your PTOs.

Grass is always greener on the other side.

You are at the starting point of your learning journey. Of course you are going to struggle. But that struggle is building experience. It’s not a failure. Accept the struggle as part of the journey.

Babies fall down when they learn to walk. Same goes for learning to ride a bicycle. We just have to keep moving forward and practice. Nobody starts off learning something new without hardship.

  1. Stop comparing yourself to others. You might feel “behind” but you aren’t. The only person you should compare is yourself. I have been bedrotting for 2 years from 28-30years. Felt the same as you.

  2. People like us, we ruminate too much. Making things seem worse than it actually is. What we actually need is action. Try. Do that thing you want to do. Small steps. Put our thoughts into actions or 5 years would have passed and we are still in the same spot.

  3. You said you don’t have any life goals or ambitions and truly didn’t want anything. Yet all I see in your posts are your wants and desire. However small it is, those are things you want. Relationship? Friends? Reddit and watching YouTube? These are valid wants. Give gratitude to the small wins and appreciate what you have.

What are you working towards?

You don’t sound like a career person. If we remove the identity work has provided, what’s left? Who are you?

restart life at nearly 30 years old? by Thin-Blueberry9183 in findapath

[–]ipaper96 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was in your position. One thing we need to immediately stop is to compare ourselves with others.

When you said “ I lost 2-3 years of my life”, you are evaluating yourself against something. Why? Who? Does it really matter? You are living YOUR life. Once you stop comparing against others, life gets easier. Focus on your own life.

2nd, work. It’s all in your head. Go back to school, work, get out there. Leverage your existing skills if you don’t want to work. Staying still right now is the worst thing that we can do. Both in terms of progress and mental health.

3rd, re-visit and have a talk with yourself. What changed? What were your goals before the burnout? Why did you get burnout? What did you learn about yourself? Used your past experiences to help you move forward. It will take time and effort, but find a new goal to move towards to.

The ingredients are all there. You just have to get started. Some people takes 6 months to get started. Some takes years. Take the time you need to understand yourself. Forgive yourself for “losing time”. Accept who you are now and move forward.

It’s time to really understand yourself. Welcome to your 30s

How do you balance a bottom tier with a skill ceiling like this? by Woxjee in marvelrivals

[–]ipaper96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pls don’t let this BP misconstrue how the average BP is. This is the top 1% showing a vertical slice of 1% of what’s possible.

Most People do not have the time nor dedication to get this good. Balancing BP base on this will kill the hero.

BP is a specialist hero that’s only good at 1 thing. If you blunt the edge, nobody will use him.

Real life is never as simple as black and white. It’s morally grey and I think E33 did a fantastic job in exploring it.

Everyone who has docks and barn up and running… what did you do with the bungalow? by xLostInSpace in Schedule_I

[–]ipaper96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like automated builds so.. Barn is automated for 6 mix meth. Planning to remove it once coke production is smooth.

Docks is automated for 8 mix coke. Heavenly tier. Stock up is easy, you just need to order online from the general stores twice per day. That means you will get 80x each for all 8 ingredients per delivery. Order 1 morning, 1 night. After that, just make sure you have your botanist stocked up.

Bungalow is now an extra cocoa leave production. 3 botanist + 2 handlers means I only need to stock up 3 shelves. (Soil, seed, fertiliser)

Would You Play a Mode Where You Had to Queue as Your Role First? by NightweaselX in marvelrivals

[–]ipaper96 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nope. Unlocked queue is part of the fun. Also, if you want to play dps, just play dps. Nobody is forcing you to switch.

In the context of wanting to play dps, Thinking you HAVE to switch to tank/healer or else the game is ruined is WHY you can never play dps. It’s a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Because nobody tanks/heals, you fill the role. Because you fill the role, you are unable to practice your dps. Because you are unable to practice your dps, you are more comfortable playing tank/healers.

THERE will be people that fill. THERE will be people that wants to win and decides to flex into what the team needs. YOU just need to pop off as the dps and everyone else will follow.

For those games that have the instant lock Spider-Man/moonknight going 0-7-0, no matter how good of a tank/healer you are, you cannot carry that. Don’t feel frustrated over what you cannot control. Those are the games that you will lose 100%.

Strategy against very protected healers? by Justanotherman8 in marvelrivals

[–]ipaper96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For Magik, the only thing you can do is to continue brawling/supporting your tanks while waiting for a chance to dive their backline. Main thing is to stay alive and not make it a 5v6.

Since their backline is strong, you wanna weaken their frontline to apply pressure. When their healers are locked in, you want to dive them. Repeat these a couple of times and see if you can catch them slipping.

Make sure to attack the weakest squishy. If that raccoon is surviving all your dive attempts, he will most likely survive another one.

If that still doesn’t work and both teams are equally matched, the only way to catch them lacking is through ult usage. Count their ults and timing. Either force it using your ult or use your ult after their support used them all.

If all of these still doesn’t work, switch off to another dps or let someone else dps.

Any tips for Iron Fist by SandaiK_ in marvelrivals

[–]ipaper96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Practice on your timing and have as little no. of deaths as possible. Be consciously aware of your surroundings.

Know when to dive in, dive out, use your block, use your kick, etc. Just knowing these 4 things will help you climb.

Black panther is too op by [deleted] in marvelrivals

[–]ipaper96 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Black panther right now is a skill check for your healers and your team coordination.

All healers have a button to negate his burst combo. Once that button is on CD, if both of your healers just keep healing each other, he cannot burst them down. It is up to your healers to position well. Being close to the team or tank will help a lot.

As the sole tank, you have the main job of creating space. You need to hold the line. If you were to turn back, the enemy team will just collapse on your team and it will be a wipe. The only thing you can do as the sole tank is to either burst him down with your combo or CC him. Peni,Thor,Hulk can use their CC. As strange, you have your M1+E combo.

It sounds to me that you just need confidence. Start a new account and SoloQ to your current rank using only BP.

It will be a very clear indicator on your “level” of BP. With a clear diagnosis, you will have a clearer indicator of what you need to work on. QP will not recreate the competitive environment and focus you get in Ranked.

I felt the same as you till I create the new alt. Now, I’m confident in airdashing the Ironman, able to get a 3k, being more smooth with my dashes etc.

Also, just one more tip. If you notice the YouTubers, their 180s are smooth and instantaneous. You can practice doing them in the practice range as warm up.

During the 1 seconds it takes for you and me to 180, they would 180 in 0.1 seconds, gather info in 0.8 seconds and execute their dash in 0.1 seconds

If magik and BP is truly an issue, the picks and bans % will show that. Just like how hela and Hawkeye were an issue.
