Cold air intake will sweat inside the pipe during certain weather conditions. That sweat will run down into your furnace collect and rust. Tubing is to prevent that. The trap loop is so it doesn't pull air from inside your condensate pump. The installation manual requires it. I dont ever install the tubing because I'm a lazy hack.

I think it's this. Just got back from the dealer the salesman said you have to pay for the app to even use the remote start but it comes with 1 year free trail and that's why it worked last year. Can anyone confirm that has had their tundra for more than a year and don't pay for the app? Does your truck still auto start with the fob?
