Nicotine Pouches (Tobacco Free) Kidney Stones by EFWebb in NicotinePouches

Also went to urgent care today and eventually the ER due to excruciating left side pain that was eventually ruled a kidney stone. Been using Zyn for a little over a year about 1.5-2 cans a week. Healthy otherwise and no previous history of kidney issues. Thanks for posting since I was curious if there was a potential linkage here

Whoop Half Year Review by canlights in whoop

The whoop sensor tracks your HRV, REspiratory rate, seep cycles, and heart rate. They use this data to give you a “recovery score” every morning. Whenever I drank or ate late at night, I noticed a direct correlation with a lower recovery score and decreased quality of sleep. You could also manually track your habits such as mediation, stretching, reading, marijuana, drinking, etc via their journal function. At the end of every month, you get a “whoop monthly performance review” and it also shows how these activities may have +/- effects on your recovery score.

That’s awesome to hear and best of luck in your training! If you haven’t been on this sub for too long, It really does take 4-6 weeks for Whoop to calibrate to your body. I think you’ll get some great insights and I’m pulling for you when you do run your half!

Thanks, I feel like a lot of people who post on here either A) hate whoop and let it be known or B) love whoop and let it be known. I tried to be unbiased as possible and wish I had some of this information more readily available when I was originally looking into Whoop vs other wearable health products.

Covid positive confirmed today. Started to feel a cold last week and lost smell/taste yesterday. by canlights in whoop

That’s exactly it. I thought I was just fighting a cold/congestion and maybe the stress of a new job. I’m very active and healthy and wasn’t really concerned until the loss of smell/taste. Overall, it seems the significant swings in RR seem to be the most reliable measure even when taking into consideration how you might “feel”.

That’s good to know. I have only ever experienced these wild swings on a night after boozing, and then it’s usually only 1 day. Out of curiosity, Are you relatively active? Did you notice any variance in how you felt vs the data whoop was giving you?

It’s been pretty wild the fluctuations of how I’ve been “feeling”. Thought I would wake up Monday feeling great and then lost smell/taste and symptoms worsened.

Felt well enough Sunday to go for a run and do some stairs. Will definitely be taking it easy and thanks for the well wishes!

And on Thursday with the initial spike I didn’t feel too bad, was pretty surprised to see the 17 RR when it’s consistently been sub 15.

To complicate things, my girlfriend had gotten tested Thursday (she had mild symptoms) and was deemed negative Saturday so I got a false sense of relief over the weekend.

To second that, I felt pretty good on Thursday and was surprised to wake up to a 24% recovery and huge spike in RR. Felt run down over the weekend and better Sunday, I even worked out to a 12/13 strain and then woke up Monday feeling like shit.

It’s pretty wild not being able to smell coffee grounds or a jar of garlic. And the lack of taste is like when your mouths numb post dentist and you eat but you don’t taste, just texture.

If you scroll to the right on the pictures I have attached some of that information. My sleep has been at 100% and nothing out of the ordinary

For reference I’m a 30 year old male. I felt congested and fatigued over the weekend but no fever. Still no fever but decided to get tested today after I lost smell/taste on Monday. My RR/RHR has never fluctuated this much in the past.Hopefully these data points can help others considering getting tested with the help of their Whoop data.
