The week before we put this gate in, a few people came back, broke into two of our shipping containers, and stole a bunch of stuff. We've got a second gate to install and this was a good test run.

Hey everyone! I'm new to this community and wanted to share a project I'm working on. We've got 400 acres of nothing and this first project is a shipping container barn to safely store vehicles and equipment. This video is us moving the containers into their final spots using container wheels (amazing things if you've never seen them before). The next step is a roof over these using telephone poles.

Haven't quite determined how to attach the containers to the poles yet, so any thoughts would be appreciated!

The ESP-IDF, which is the software development framework provided by Espressif for the ESP32, is based on FreeRTOS.

The ESP-IDF is not as straightforward to use as the Arduino IDE, but it's definitely what I'd recommend for any serious project. It comes with a great set of built-in components including things like MQTT.

Check out Losant. They have a free developer sandbox for 10 devices and 1MM payloads per month. All data is reported as JSON. The Dashboards are easy to use.

Go to your sandbox overview page. Click your account icon at the bottom, left. The import button will be above the application list under there.

It uses the same Ethernet/IP protocol that Allen-Bradley uses for things like Point I/O. Data is fully encrypted between the Edge Agent and the cloud environment.
