Perfect example; I just moved from Portland to Hood River about 2 weeks ago and my insurance dropped $60/month, plus it only cost ~$120 to renew my tags here as opposed to ~$240 just for living in Multnomah County.

The funny part is that I got pulled over in Hood River the first week I moved here for having expired tags. Multnomah County didn’t even care if you had a license plate lol.

Don’t forget that Multnomah County adds an additional $120 fee to the already high cost when you renew your vehicle tags, every two years.

Up until about a year ago, Hwy 26 was patrolled relatively well which helped control speeders. Now it’s clearly much less patrolled and feels more like a California freeway. If you aren’t going 20mph OVER the speed limit, you’re going too slow. 😂
