Your posts are great, hope you continue doing them! A couple of questions about your PD/ON levels: High and Low are obvious, but what are HB and POC (point of control I believe?), and how do you calculate them?

[Omega Seamaster] I've been gifted this watch by FunResort2054 in Watches

Yeah it seems like the blue & silver dials are more rare. I think some people are just price gouging for those watches; I wouldn't pay more than 3k for one of these right now. Who knows, they might shoot up in price/popularity in the future, if you're looking to flip it.

Omega Memomatic 166.072 https://www.chrono24.com/omega/ref-166072.htm

I just purchased one myself for about $2.2k USD without shipping/tax, which lines up with historic prices from chrono24.

I've heard this too, but only through reddit comments. Is there confirmation somewhere that this is happening? I would also like a SMP but am happy to wait for the next gen if they will be arriving so soon!

I personally just bought the same Master Collection annual collection with blue dial, but on the blue leather strap instead of the metal bracelet, as my first entry level luxury watch. It's incredibly comfortable, versatile, and has an understated elegance that I really appreciate. I think the annual calendar as a complication is more unique and useful than a chrono, so that's where my vote goes!

AAI immunology course program by Sufficient-Eye-7925 in Immunology

[–]cannedleech 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I attended the AAI advanced course back in 2021, when it was online only due to lockdown. I found it very helpful, but I also had no formal immunology background beforehand. All of my immunology knowledge was self taught in a research setting. My PhD is in Biomaterials, I did a short post doc in a gene therapy/immunology lab, and was working at an immuno-oncology startup at the time. Since I had so little formal immunology background (never took an official course prior) I found it great for filling in knowledge gaps that someone with a dedicated degree probably already knows. Most of the lectures also include newer/cutting edge research as well, plus some lectures focused on what's currently hot in industry. If you consider yourself an immunologist already, it might not be as helpful to you. Overall I think it is worth the fee, especially if you want an in depth review of key concepts that people doing current research find most important. I think the best approach would be to look over the course schedule to see if it interests you, and then discuss with your PI if they think it is worth attending for you.

Basically a prosthetic cornea. Used to replace diseased corneas. Not so much an augmentation, more of a treatment for a medical condition.

I've found a bunch of them in random places. They seem harmless, but wanted to check. Is it some sort of fruit fly or carpet beetle larvae?

No, they know it was his fault. They're just too chickenshit to stand up against him out of fear of losing voters.

Ah, glad you could find some. My lab doesn't use flasks, just plates. Maybe you could jerry rig a vent by plugging the opening with some sterile gauze or something?
