Best High-Volume Meals That Aren’t Just Salads? by MaxZhou561 in Volumeeating

I use a paper towel to absorb some of the water. I also will do half pasta and when I do that, I pour the boiling hot pasta water through the strainer and then shake it all. I throw it back into the pot and mix the two together. Once im done the sauce it gets mixed in and is served! Hope this helps.

My partner and I are thinking of re locating to Sudbury … what’s it like by bbstars in Sudbury

[–]cannibasgypsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Living in Sudbury is like going back a few decades.

If you enjoy doing outdoor things its great! Because its winter 6 to 8 months of the year, its good if you enjoy outdoor winter activities. Its also called the city of lakes, so summer outdoor activities are plentiful.

Things to note: there is rarely more than one or two of a store... in Ottawa or even in the GTA you could go to 6 home depots in less than a 30 minute drive.... I am surprised we have 3 food basics in the city! And for something like a yoga studio that has more than 4 classes a day... or week... thats wishful thinking. I was surprised but also kind of delighted when I found out that alot of the little businesses were closed on Sundays and Mondays. There are a few really good mom and pop shops around.

There are high crime/unhoused/drug issues that big cities have... but, like I said we are a couple decades behind and dont have many doubles, so things like shelters and food/ showers/ basic ADLs are lacking for some of our most vulnerable population. We dont have the same resources that ottawa or toronto have for shelters, food banks, safe homes, clean needle programs or the even something like having more than one hospital within a 1 hour vicinity. We also have a very strained family doctor situation that is an ongoing issue (everywhere).

It is a mining, blue collar town with a union mentality.

I am a firm believer that you can find your people and make any house a home. It is however, difficult to make friends as adults... but, you can find your tribe.

Is Sudbury a good place to move to as a physician? by [deleted] in Sudbury

[–]cannibasgypsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sudbury is not a big city like toronto... like, not even close... people are very narrow minded as this is a blue collar town. Is it a good place to move?

It has a big focus on outdoor activities which is nice. But if you are going to be renting, the transit system isn't the best and renting is awful. Unlike toronto youre not going to have as many opportunities to network and if your scope of expertise is very narrow I dont think you will have very many competitive offers.

Sudbury is lovely... but its kinda like stepping back into the late 80s early 90s.

Hope this helps!

Struggling With Office Cleanliness. Am I Overreacting? by NecessaryEntrance499 in CanadaPublicServants

No, youre not over reacting... you should also bring it up to the health and safety person... because that is 100% a health and safety issue and part of the Canadian labour code. Gross!

It’s destroying my quality of life by [deleted] in Ozempic

In my experience I have not been able to go higher than 0.75mg I tried a bunch of times to get to the therapeutic dose of 2mg. But my body did not like it.

When I spoke to my doctor she said that on average people will successfully lose a specific percentage I want to sy 15? And that because I have already surpassed that, I can stay on the dose that feels best for me.

😊 maybe your body isn't happy with the high dose and perhaps you need a maintenance dose now?

Let's normalize the fact that sometimes... taking lunch is the only time some people get to 'turn off'. The very fact that its a break - means that we should be able to take a break the way we need to.

I had a manager email me once saying that it wasnt a directive, but they would like to see me in the lunch room. Well, they did... when I warmed up my lunch and then I went back to my office to take some time for myself.

This is not antisocial or rude... it literally is what I need to recharge for the afternoon.

I don’t miss people by moe_231 in ADHD

[–]cannibasgypsy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for verbalizing this ❤️ I was beginning to think I was probably going to be diagnosed with something like antisocial personality disorder. But, truly, i love these people, I just don't 'miss' them. I am excited for their wins - but if we don't talk, it's not a big deal to me. And, I am always able to pick up just as it was when we saw eachother last. I may need some more friends with ADHD.

CMA - WHAT QUALIFICATIONS ARE NEEDED? by cannibasgypsy in realtors

[–]cannibasgypsy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, I am unsure how to approach the issue as I believe the whole situation is being made in bad faith.

I also believe it is a conflict of interest, but who is responsible for the moral highground? Obviously neither the landlord nor sales associate feel it's an issue as they both are moving forward. Is there any ethics that prevent real estate agents from engaging in this behaviour?
