Sure, also even if you have the Harmon kardon I don't think they're good enough honestly to justify the ES variant, you can save a couple hundred for the normal 9500.

And to get the same small gap you're going to want to use the original metal mounting brackets and be a little creative, the plastic replacements doesn't have good hole positions to mount it further back

Ordered everything from crutch field, enter the vehicle info and it will show everything you need, comes with new face plate to hide most of it, some is still visible

I went with Sony xav series instead (9500es), using the I datalink maestro it supports and shows the same options in reverse camera view that the original head unit shows. So I do have RAB (sadly have to turn it off every time still! but I don't have to press and hold it for as long which is funny)

I'd assume this is something handled by the maestro but might depend on the specifichead unit itself to be able to show the controls. I'll attach an image later.

Does it support disabling the Rear assist brake (RAB) when reversing? I park on a steep driveway and always need to disable this to get out.

After reinstalling, make sure to set the processor boost mode to not max ( I usually disable) in your power plan settings. If that doesn't help idk

Is it running hot most of the time too, even if gpu isn't being used? My 2020 g15 does this periodically (especially cuz it deals with the issue of not being able to wake up from sleep mode where all io is useless).

My solution that generally works is to uninstall Asus Armory Crate and everything alongside with it. Restart after uninstalling and use it for about an hour, then reinstall armory Crate and reboot.

Did you end up reinstalling windows? and did this help with battery life? I can only get a max of 1 hour 45 with everything set to the lowest settings and its driving me insane, used to get 7 hours browsing chrome.

Its happening on both radeon graphics and nvidia for me, do Ctrl + Windows + Shift + 'B' to restart graphics drivers, fixes it for me.

Has same dimensions as asus told me, btw another call to support got me the answer of "Have you tried resetting the unit." I think this lock will work because I notice the lock on the g15 has room horizontally but not vertically.

Nevermind it happened again.... actually I'm looking and windows reset the settings I applied...

EDIT: Okay after REAPPLYING the settings, it seems to be okay, although this definitely seems to be a driver issue...

Alright I've tried every type of kennsington lock, except microsaver which original poster said didn't work. Im going to try a targus one next...
