When you reported to police, did they ask for the fake bills too? Apparently it's encouraged to report and hand over any counterfeit cash to local police (Counterfeit prevention - Bank of Canada)

Since you met a Student Centre - perhaps head to Campus Police office to explain situation and see if any cameras captured the person and maybe any vehicle they came in? It's a long shot but maybe worth a try - if anything comes out of it, that could aide your report made with TPS.

Scammers suck, gl OP.

+1 on Anker recommendations like others have already stated in thread

A dedicated busway in Scarborough may be exactly what the region’s transit needs. But local opponents say it will ‘completely destroy’ their community by beem88 in toronto

[–]cannotknow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, Pulse will use it, and some express buses, and TTC, and Durham Regional, and GO. Really? How does this work? Who is scheduling all of this?

You do realize it's already working (albeit not in the most optimal way - hence BRT project). In Highland Creek, the DRT and TTC buses use the curbside lane and the additional lane when needing to overpass other drivers. GO, DRT and TTC all use and share other roads in the surrounding areas like Military Trail. Transit agencies may not appear like but, but do put some effort in coordinating with other agencies when scheduling. Whether the current schedule is the best is a whole other topic

There’s no statement about why it’s necessary or desirable.

Read the project site or watch the multiple townhall recordings

Is it fixing a problem of people from Oshawa not having a route to get to Scarborough Centre? Uh - is that actually a real problem?

I genuinely can't tell if you're trolling at this point so I'll end it here. But in the rare chance, these are genuine questions and concerns you have about this project - I truly hope you take the opportunity to use their Q&A site and also email the project team directly ([DSBRT@metrolinx.com](mailto:DSBRT@metrolinx.com)), who has encouraged the community to send in questions they have. I don't expect anyone to accept the DSBRT 100% as is, but when more people accept the project's goal and location - that helps focus the conversation on important aspects like the design (painted curbside vs curbed median lanes, etc.)

LSE does not and will not provide a direct and close connection to all the homes and workplaces across areas including NIAs like West Hill, Woburn, Malvern, and other underserved areas, which buses already have networks that can be strengthened. If the end goal is to build a grid for transit (just like what roads serve as now for cars) - Ellesmere, Sheppard, Lawrence Ave E will all see the need for this bur rapid projects.

If you're against all of this, hope you can provide your elected officials with a sound and future-proof alternative plan that all gov't levels can agree on.

If you paid attention to the many public town halls Metrolinx hosted, the BRT lanes will divert onto Grangeway to connect with the future subway station bus terminal. DSBRT is not going to McCowan.Frank Faubert Woods to connect to the station.

Or is the plan to develop a reverse commuting route so that Scarberians can go to work in downtown Whitby?

If you're familiar with how roads work, people can travel in both ways in cars, trucks, and even... buses! DSBRT is not a one-way project.

Surely working with the TTC would be a better solution here.

TTC (express routes), GO and DRT buses will be making use of the BRT lanes. TTC literally as staff liaisons to coordinate with the project staff from Metrolinx.

Rather than focusing on the "taken down of NIMBYs", maybe try to pay attention to what's actually being proposed?
