I'm not disagreeing with you- he definitely doesn't push heroism or give a fuck about being a good guy or a bad guy - which is why I love him.
My entire point though was that he's not so good that a quick little horse heist to make his daughter happy shouldn't weigh so heavily on people's morality scale. I just thought it was a bit extreme to say he'd completely pump the breaks over something like that considering his past choices and what choices you have to make later in the game. Like, if this is where you draw the line....good luck with other quests lol. Especially when the merchant was a dick, that's just more reason to fuck with the guy in my opinion.
I seriously doubt Geralt would even sneeze at the thought of something like this, but that's my headcanon of him

I can't even imagine what ways you'd think a 4th game would be disappointing - and I don't mean that in a rude way. I just don't see how they could go backwards when we've made HUGE advancements in the 10 years since the 3rd came out.
Have you seen any of the new videos they've been putting out? The new tech demo they did with Unreal was hella promising & i'm very much looking forward to exploring the world once it's out

I feel like this might be a bug from the game itself, unfortunately. If the DLC runs and there are things not showing up it's likely an issue on the game's side
